Aces fans have been anxiously waiting to hear that Wilson has re-signed with the team. The past week has been filled with news from the Aces, announcing who has re-signed, who was traded, and who was drafted, but in all the news, one key person was missing – Wilson.

On Wednesday, fans finally got what they’ve been waiting for, and it came with big news about her deal. According to Shams Charania, ESPN Senior NBA Insider, Wilson’s deal is “the largest in WNBA history to date and fully guaranteed.”

“A’ja Wilson, the WNBA’s first ever four-time MVP, is signing a three-year, $5 million supermax contract to return to the Las Vegas Aces, sources tell me and Andraya Carter,” Charania shared on IG.

It didn’t take long for fans to start reposting the news on social media and sharing their thoughts and excitement.

“We’ve been waiting for this news,” one person wrote in the comments of Charania’s post. Another added, “SheGOAT deserves it.”

Over on the Las Vegas Aces’ Instagram page, the sentiments were the same.

“Aces fans just exhaled,” one person said. Another viewer wrote, “A’nother Championship Win.” And there were many more where those came from.

“We knew she was just waiting to make sure we had the right ingredients, her teammates had a good portion on their plates, and then she would take the leftovers,” one fan enthusiastically wrote. Another said, “There was no doubt!!!! A’GOAT.”

Las Vegas Aces president and GM Nikki Fargas announced Wilson re-signing with the team and shared, “A’ja is truly one of one, who has led this franchise to where it is today.” With Wilson back in the fold, the Aces bring back 90% of their offensive firepower — 75.5 of their 83.6 points per game — from the 2025 championship squad.

Fargas continued, “Not only has she catapulted into the history books and surpassed almost every record in existence, but she does so with the utmost confidence, authenticity, and grace. We look forward to continuing to see her thrive in an Aces uniform.”

Wilson, who closed 2025 as the only player in W history to earn M’VP, Defensive Player of the Year, Finals M’VP and lead the league in scoring in the same season, simply said, “YKWTFGO.”

Wilson’s list of accolades and is long. Just a few – WNBA Rookie of the Year, Four-Time WNBA M’VP, two-time WNBA Finals M’VP, three-time Defensive Player of the Year, seven-time All-Star, 13 Western Conference Player of the Month, 28 Western Conference Player of the Week, and the list goes on.

Ahead of the start of the regular season, the Aces will be screening the team’s fourth documentary, “Never Fold: The 2025 Las Vegas Aces.” The documentary takes a look into the epic 2025 season – how they started with a 14-14 record in early August and was on the brink of elimination from the playoffs to the big comeback and 17 straight wins that led them to becoming the 2025 WNBA Champions.

The screening will be held on Tuesday, May 5 at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, and will host a panel with coach Becky Hammon, President and GM Nikki Fargas, and Vice President of Creative Storytelling Katie Morgan immediately following the film.

“I am so proud of the work the Aces Productions team has done on this documentary. ‘Never Fold’ gives fans a personal look into the ups and downs of the 2025 season,” Morgan said, according to a press release sent to The Blast. “Fans always get to see what happens on the court, but to give them the opportunity to witness what happens behind the scenes is something special. This is the fourth documentary, but the first official screening event and we wanted to make sure the fans can be part of it.”
