Kanye ‘Ye’ West is facing yet another lawsuit!
The rapper, who legally changed his name to Ye, is no stranger to controversy and legal troubles. As of 2026, he has been slammed with at least two new lawsuits, with the latest coming from an alleged victim.
The man, who filed the lawsuit under the alias John Doe, is suing Kanye ‘Ye’ West for battery and infliction of emotional distress over an April 2025 incident.
Kanye West Accused Of Attacking A Man At The Chateau Marmont

According to court documents, the plaintiff is suing for an unspecified amount in damages due to the alleged injuries he suffered at Ye’s hands. The man claimed his unfortunate encounter with the rapper occurred at the famous Chateau Marmont in April 2025.
The alleged victim explained that he had been at his table in the hotel when Ye approached him and punched him out of nowhere. He stressed that the attack was unprovoked, claiming the punch “knocked him to the ground,” causing him to lose consciousness after hitting his head.
The plaintiff noted the violence did not end there, accusing Ye of repeatedly punching him as he lay unconscious on the ground. The man’s suffering, per TMZ, was exacerbated when Ye alleged that he had behaved inappropriately towards a woman in the rapper’s group.
The Plaintiff Claims He Suffered Emotional Distress

According to the man suing Ye, the allegedly false claims of him harassing a woman in Ye’s group caused him to suffer emotional distress. The pain worsened when the entertainer “repeated and embellished these lies during a widely viewed podcast appearance.”
The alleged victim argued that Ye’s actions exposed him “to public scorn, suspicion, and ridicule.” The lawsuit comes at the heels of an unpaid wages case against Ye. The Blast covered the story, reporting that the media personality’s former security guard had sued him.
The plaintiff, Jonathan Monroe, wanted nearly $1 million in damages, accusing Ye of failing to pay his wages and other issues. Monroe noted that he started working for Ye in 2021, but was not compensated for his work or overtime hours.
A Former Security Guard Detailed Troubling Incidents

Monroe claimed Ye had a knack for ignoring him when it came to payment, detailing an incident where the Yeezy founder asked him to fill up the tank of his Lamborghini. Monroe recalled Ye walking away without a response when he asked for cash or a credit card to pay the bill.
The former employee added that he had repeatedly tried to make Ye cough up what was due, but he always brushed him off. On that note, Monroe asked the court to help him collect $7,725 for unpaid overtime, $37,620 in lost wages, and $500,000 in lost earnings.
Additionally, Monroe asked for $100,000 as compensation for his pain and suffering and another $100,000 in punitive damages. The request followed the conclusion of Ye’s botched bomb shelter lawsuit, where his former employee, Tony Saxton, was granted 140K in damages.
The Grammy Winner’s Career Comeback Faced A Massive Hiccup

Besides legal battles, Ye had to face the lingering aftermath of his past antisemitic stance. The Blast reported that his comeback performance at the Wireless Festival in London led to the cancellation of the entire music event.
Ye was banned from entry to the UK because the government did not want to support someone who once antagonized the Jewish community. Sources revealed that the cancellation of the music festival caused consequences behind the scenes, leaving many upset.
“There is internal drama as some people feel he should never have been considered after claiming slavery was a choice,” a source alleged. They claimed that many staffers were “shocked” that Ye even got the headlining spot in the first place, given his controversial image.
Kanye West’s Antisemitic Claims Backed By Mental Health Expert

Before Ye was banned from entry into the UK, he tried to revamp his image by apologizing for his past antisemitic behavior. The Blast reported that Ye blamed his viral social media outbursts on his bipolar disorder, implying that he was not himself during his rants.
Prof. David Curtis of UCL Genetics Institute supported Ye’s narrative, explaining that people with severe bipolar disorder tend to act in ways that were beyond their character. He claimed they could be “impulsive, reckless, or even psychotic.”
Unfortunately for Ye, the UK government called BS on his narrative and slammed him for hiding behind his bipolar disorder. UK Education Secretary Wes Streeting condemned his actions as “appalling,” while Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson labeled his past comments “absolutely disgusting.”
