Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a rare joint appearance as they stepped out for an exclusive Hollywood gathering hosted by Ted Sarandos. The couple attended the Netflix CEO’s “Tastemaker” event at his private residence, joining a host of A-list stars for the invite-only affair.
The Sussexes’ outing comes amid ongoing speculation about their relationship with Netflix, following reports that some people at the streaming giant found it difficult to work with the pair. A spokesperson close to the couple has since denied those claims.
Harry and Meghan continue to explore new revenue streams after taking financial hits from the loss of several multimillion-dollar deals, including their partnership with Netflix.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Hang Out With Sarandos
The hills of Montecito were buzzing last Friday night as Netflix CEO Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant, hosted a “Tastemaker” event for “Beef” Season 2 at their private residence.
It was a star-studded affair, with Harry and Meghan among the high-profile guests. The couple appeared in good spirits, engaging in conversation with Sarandos and posing for pictures with him and other attendees, per PEOPLE Magazine.
For the evening, the Duke of Sussex kept it classic in a navy-blue suit paired with a white button-down shirt, while Meghan opted for a Heidi Merrick “Gale” gown, styled with strappy heels.
The guest list also featured several notable names, including “Beef” Season 2 stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, and Charles Melton. Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau, Orlando Bloom, and the “Bear” actor Lionel Boyce were also present.
Harry And Meghan’s Relationship With Netflix Was Allegedly Strained

Harry and Meghan’s outing with Sarandos comes amid reports that their relationship with Netflix has grown increasingly strained following changes to their multimillion-dollar deal.
The couple initially secured a five-year agreement with the streaming platform in 2020 through their production company, Archewell Productions. However, the deal was later scaled back to a “first-look” arrangement, with the financial terms no longer publicly disclosed.
A recent report by Variety painted a less-than-flattering picture of the partnership, claiming the working dynamic had reached a breaking point. Insiders described the relationship as “far from a fairytale.”
Claims Of The Strained Relationship Have Been Disputed

Sources close to Harry and Meghan have pushed back on reports of tension between the couple and Netflix.
Earlier claims suggested that Sarandos had grown fed up with the pair. Some reports alleged frustration over how they handled their early post-royal interviews, particularly their high-profile sit-down with Oprah Winfrey.
However, those claims have since been strongly refuted. In a letter to Variety, Harry and Meghan’s lawyer Michael J. Kump challenged the report, stating in part, “Meghan texts and speaks with Mr. Sarandos regularly, and has been to his home.”
At the same time, a Netflix spokesperson dismissed suggestions that the streamer has lost faith in the couple as “absolutely inaccurate.”
Prince Harry Sued By Charity He Co-Founded

Any potential fallout with Netflix may be the least of Harry’s concerns right now. The former British Army pilot is currently embroiled in a legal battle with Sentebale, a charity he co-founded, following his resignation as patron last year.
According to reports, the organization has filed legal documents at a London High Court, naming Harry and lawyer Mark Dyer in a defamation suit.
In a statement, the Sentebale board said it had initiated legal action after what it described as “a coordinated adverse media campaign” that had caused “operational disruption and reputational harm to the charity, its leadership and its strategic partners.”
Harry and Dyer were named as architects of the smear campaign, which the organization claimed resulted in an onslaught of cyberbullying targeting its leadership.
Prince Harry’s Camp Responds To Lawsuit Claims
A spokesperson for Harry and Dyer has responded to the lawsuit, pushing back against the allegations and raising concerns about how Sentebale is handling its resources.
The representative claimed that funds intended for charitable work were being used to pursue legal action against Harry, a point the organization has denied in its own statement.
“As Sentebale’s co-founder and a founding trustee, they categorically reject these offensive and damaging claims,” the insider said.
They continued, “It is extraordinary that charitable funds are now being used to pursue legal action against the very people who built and supported the organization for nearly two decades, rather than being directed to the communities the charity was created to serve.”
