It’s almost time for WNBA energy to be back in full force with preseason just around the bend. The Las Vegas Aces, the 2025 Champions, aren’t easing into the new season, they’re keeping the championship energy fully turned up. With key re-signings including Kierstan Bell, Jackie Young, and Chelsea Gray, the core of the dynasty remains locked in and ready for another run. And with more announcements coming soon (we’re all waiting to hear about A’ja Wilson), the excitement is only building ahead of the first tip-off of the 2026 season.

Before the season begins, the Aces are already taking their winning mindset with a preseason matchup against Japan. And off the court, they’re also expanding their cultural footprint with a new partnership with IPSY, blending sports, style, and self-expression in true Vegas fashion.

After months of uncertainty around the WNBA season during CBA negotiations, everything is now settled and the excitement for a new season is officially starting to build. The Aces haven’t missed a beat getting their fans ready for another epic season in Sin City.

To recap, the 2025 season was filled with intensity, a big comeback, and an exciting journey to the Championship spot. A slow start to the season picked up speed, getting fans more and more hyped each game. And that energy is still lingering at the start of the 2026 season.

To start the season off, the team recently announced a new partnership with IPSY, a global leader in curated beauty memberships and subscriptions. Fans will see IPSY’s branding on Aces jerseys, including on the team’s beloved mascot, BUCKET$.

“Both the Aces and IPSY value women empowerment, self-expression and uniqueness, and we are aligned in those core values,” Aces president Nikki Fargas said, according to a press release sent to The Blast. “Partnering with IPSY allows us to expand our presence in the beauty space while continuing to uplift and inspire our fans and community on and off the court.”

The Screening Of ‘Never Fold: The 2025 Las Vegas Aces’ Is May 5

Something exciting to start the season off on a high note for fans is the screening of the Aces fourth documentary, “Never Fold: The 2025 Las Vegas Aces” on Tuesday, May 5. The documentary takes a deep reflection into the 2025 season – how the Aces started with a 14-14 record in early August and was on the brink of elimination from the playoffs to the big comeback and 17 straight wins to becoming the 2025 WNBA Champions.

Immediately following the screening, which will be held at the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, the Aces will host a panel featuring head coach Becky Hammon, President and GM Nikki Fargas, and Vice President of Creative Storytelling Katie Morgan. Audience members will receive a limited edition “Never Fold” movie poster.

“I am so proud of the work the Aces Productions team has done on this documentary. ‘Never Fold’ gives fans a personal look into the ups and downs of the 2025 season,” Morgan said, according to a press release sent to The Blast. “Fans always get to see what happens on the court, but to give them the opportunity to witness what happens behind the scenes is something special. This is the fourth documentary, but the first official screening event and we wanted to make sure the fans can be part of it.”

Tickets for the screening are currently on sale here.

One 2025 Aces Player Is Headed To Toronto

While the picture of what this season will look like as far as players becomes clearer every day, one 2025 Aces player was picked up by the recent expansion draft.

2025 rookie Aaliyah Nye was selected at No. 13 in the 2026 WNBA Expansion Draft by the Toronto Tempo. Nye averaged 3.8 ppg and 1.5 rpg as a rookie on the Aces.

The Aces issued this statement after the news broke, “The Las Vegas Aces want to thank Aaliyah Nye for everything she did to help the Aces lift the 2025 WNBA Championship trophy. We are sad to see her go, but we wish her all the best as she continues her career with Toronto. As with anyone who has been a member of this historic franchise, once an Ace, always an Ace.”

Who’s been re-signed? While the answer to that question will continue to change as more reports come in, so far we know that Kierstan Bell, Jackie Young, and Chelsea Gray have resigned with the Aces.

Aces president Nikki Fargas announced on Thursday that the team has re-signed guard Bell, also known to fans as KB.

“KB has been an essential part of winning three championships here at the Aces,” Fargas said, according to a press release sent to The Blast. “She is always willing to do what is needed for the team to win and we’re excited to have her back.”

KB added, “Vegassss!! Super excited to get back to work and compete for another championship. The love doesn’t go unnoticed and I’m blessed to be part of something so special. Let’s rock.”

WNBA Got Game on IG recently announced, “Jackie Young is returning to the Las Vegas Aces on a 1 year max deal (1.19 million dollars).” They also announced in another post, “Chelsea Gray has signed a 3 year multimillion dollar deal with the Aces and her son, Lennox broke the news.”

And while A’ja Wilson publicly committed to re-signing with the Aces, fans are anxiously waiting for that news to hit the internet.

The Las Vegas Aces Will Host The Japan National Team In A Preseason Exhibition Game

Fans in Vegas won’t have to wait too long to see the Aces in action on the court. They will be hosting the Japan National Team in a preseason exhibition game on April 26 at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

According to a press release sent to The Blast, “One of four original WNBA franchises still in existence, the Aces will use the exhibition contest as part of their preparations ahead of the franchise’s historic 30th season.”

This exhibition game is the third time the Aces face international competition. They hosted the Puerto Rico National Team at the University of South Carolina in 2024 and the China National Team at home in 2018.

The 2026 season tips off at T-Mobile Arena on May 9, with the Aces 2025 championship ring ceremony.
