Melania Trump has moved to clear the foggy air around her name and the Epstein files.

The First Lady of the United States made her statement from the White House, setting the record straight and urging all other widespread narratives to cease. This comes after the president and his wife have made headlines for their alleged close dealings and association with the late sex offender.

Melania Trump recently made waves in the media after she was called out for her fashion choice at the Governor’s dinner in February. In the same month, her documentary “Melania” hit screens, where she detailed the behind-closed-doors happenings of the White House.

Melania spoke her truth on the Epstein topic in an unexpected address from the White House on Thursday, April 9. She declared that, contrary to the widely publicized narrative, she never had any relationship or dealings with Jeffrey Epstein. The first lady further stated that bad actors push out those rumors in an attempt to ruin her reputation.

As she continued her speech, Melania categorically stated that she and the convicted sex offender were never friends. She explained that it was pure coincidence that she and the president were invited to some of the same parties he attended.

Clearing herself, Melania claims she did not know of any of Epstein’s crimes, pointing out that the communication she had with his right-hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell, can be seen as a simple, polite reply. “To be clear, I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice [Ghislaine] Maxwell,” she said during the televised national address.

The First Lady Says The False Stories Must End

TMZ reports that Melania expressed that she is tired of hearing the false narrative about her relationship with the disgraced financier and late sex offender during her speech. “The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today. The individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility, and respect,” the first lady noted.

She also clarified that Epstein did not introduce her to her husband, debunking the claims that he set them up. Melania added that people can read about how she met her now-husband in her book “Melania.” These claims likely stem from an old photograph showing Maxwell, Epstein, Trump, and Melania in their younger days that has been on the net for years.

The first lady concluded her unexpected national address, calling on Congress to hold a public hearing to receive testimony from survivors of Epstein’s crimes. As widely reported, Epstein was convicted of soliciting sex from a minor on state charges in Florida in 2008, after which he served a year in jail. He was later arrested in 2019 on federal sex-trafficking charges and was found dead in his cell while he awaited trial.

In November last year, an author, Michael Wolff, came out claiming that the two men quickly formed a relationship over their love for hot models. The author’s stance became public shortly after over 2300 emails were released by the House Oversight Committee. Wolff maintained that Epstein and Trump’s mutual fascination with glamorous women kept their relationship going deep until they “fell out with enormous acrimony.”

The Blast detailed that Wolff further alleged that both men were “obsessed with models” as they had owned modeling agencies over different time spans. He also claims that he saw pictures of young women sitting on the president’s lap without their tops on. The POTUS has previously denied having a close association with Epstein, describing him as a “creep.”

Some of the emails where Trump’s name was mentioned include conversations between Maxwell and Epstein, talking about keeping their association with the president under the covers during his first presidential campaign in 2015. Another one was an exchange between Wolff and the late sex offender. The author, who was Epstein’s PR advisor at the time, told him that news outlets planned to ask the president about their relationship.

Popular comedian Trevor Noah made a joke about the president as he hosted the 2026 Grammy Awards event, which soon started a media frenzy. Noah made jabs at Nicki Minaj, who has recently been an open supporter of the Trump administration, before shifting focus to the politician himself.

“Nicki Minaj is not here; she is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues,” he said before doing an impression of Trump saying, “Actually, Nicki, I have the biggest a-s. Everybody’s saying it, Nicki.”

As if that was not enough, after Billie Eilish was announced as the winner in the Song of the Year category, the comedian said, “That is a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense, because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

As shared by The Blast, Trump took to social media, insisting that while he could not speak for Clinton, he had never visited Epstein’s island. He stressed that Noah’s accusations had crossed a legal line, and he would be sending his lawyers after the comedian.

Melania recently made headlines, and it was not in a positive light. The first lady left people talking about her outfit, not because they deemed it stunning, but rather labeled it “inappropriate.” Melania became the talk of the night after she attended a black-tie governor’s dinner in Washington, D.C., dressed in a black neck blouse and metallic silver trousers.

Many internet users gave their opinions, stating that her outfit did not match the black-tie theme, as popular opinion is that women are to wear floor-length gowns to events with such a dress code. Melania stood out in the photographs as other women were clad in gowns, while her silver trousers shone through. Some online users criticized her stylist, calling for her to be replaced; others claimed she looked like she was attending a picnic instead of a gala.

Another netizen’s comment read “What the f-ck is she wearing?!!! Glitter pants to a major professional dinner at the White House? She looks like she’s going out for wine night with the other mafia wives.” The Blast, however, records that some supporters praised the outfit choice, stressing that as a first lady, Melania can wear whatever she wants.
