The reality television personality’s latest court hearing with her ex, Dakota Mortensen, changed the ongoing dynamics in their co-parenting relationship, earning her some tangible hours with their son.

Taylor Frankie Paul Can Now Spend A Few Hours Of Supervised Time With Her Son
The television star walked away with a fair bargain during a protection hearing today, April 7, as the judge gave her supervised parenting time with their son, Ever. The judge reportedly came to this conclusion after an hour-long hearing in Utah, ordering that the reality star get to spend a total of 8 hours with their son every week, under strict supervision.
TMZ confirmed that Taylor’s new routine remains temporary until the next court hearing on April 30. She is also allowed to split the 8 hours across several days every week for the 3 weeks and 2 days until the next day in court.
The TV star lost custody of Ever when Dakota filed a temporary restraining order against her, and had asked the court to extend the protective order as authorities continue their investigation into his accusations against his former partner.
The Reality TV Star Previously Pled Guilty To Aggravated Assault
Taylor and Dakota have not had the most cordial relationship, as it was constantly laced with allegations of domestic violence. As a matter of fact, Taylor was caught on camera yelling and physically attacking Dakota during a fight at her home in February 2023. Taylor was seen throwing a heavy metal barstool at Dakota, putting him in a headlock, and kicking him all in the presence of her daughter from a previous relationship.
The reality star was subsequently arrested the same month, facing multiple charges of felony aggravated assault and domestic violence in the presence of a child. She eventually pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in August 2023 and was sentenced to three years’ probation.
Fast forward to February 2026, and another investigation was opened regarding Taylor attacking Dakota in another incident. A third police investigation was launched in March after Dakota approached the cops about another violent encounter in 2024. Since the storms of allegations dropped, Taylor’s television endeavors have suffered the consequences of her actions.

The ABC star showed up for the April 7 hearing armed to the teeth with heaps of evidence to poke holes in her baby daddy’s plea for an extended restraining order against her. Taylor equally filed a request for a protective order against her former partner earlier in the morning of April 7.
As noted by the outlet, the reality star and her team of attorneys filed several photos showing injuries sustained after an alleged assault in May 2025. Taylor also added pictures of bruises on her forehead and knee from another alleged attack in February 2026.
She also attached a series of possessive texts from Dakota, alongside screenshots of him requesting for sex after their episode in February. While the possessive text messages came before the incident, the pictures of her bruises and sex request came after the alleged assault.

Taylor disclosed, in a vulnerable post for Easter, that her spirituality and faith provided the needed anchor to ground her through the daunting experiences of the past 40 days.
As shared by The Blast, she recalled praying for strength through every panic attack as she could slowly feel her body giving way and breaking down from the stress of it all. The television star credits divine intervention for helping her feel supported through the ordeal, adding that she decided to stick to thanksgiving instead of always asking for favors.
In the same breath, the influencer also distanced herself from the Mormon church, explaining that while she was raised and born with the doctrines, it was time for her to detach herself. She emphasized that while she believed in God, the Bible, and the divine, her relationship with organized religion was slowly shifting.

“Bachelor” alum Ashley Iaconetti reacted to ABC’s statement addressing the content of the leaked clip of Taylor attacking Dakota. The Blast stated that the network was completely aware of Taylor’s attack on Dakota and what led to her arrest, but they ignored it.
She described the assault by Taylor on Dakota as terrible, adding that casting her on “The Bachelorette” was a very wrong move from the network, as she was not mentally and emotionally ready to step into that role.
As for Taylor, her camp is insisting that she is finally ready to step forward and take action to ensure that her kids remain protected from any further harm. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser,” the statement from her representative concluded.
