The police authorities in Florida arrested the 24-year-old and booked him into the Broward County Jail for misdemeanor disorderly conduct-affray. He was held on a $500 bond, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, where his mugshot was taken.
TMZ shared details of Tjay’s arrest, reporting that he was involved in a fight before Offset’s shooting occurred. The Seminole Police Department also notes that a second person was detained at the scene as well, but has not been charged.

The authorities also issued a statement confirming that while the incident was frightening, lives were not lost. One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, as per the Seminole Police Department.
The law enforcement also revealed that an investigation was ongoing and two people had already been detained. Police then assured the public of their safety, stating that there were no more threats and hotel operations had resumed normalcy. Tjay’s attorney, Dawn M. Florio, released a statement on this matter, addressing the rumors and stressing that they were false. “We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, which resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset,” the statement began.
Florio added that people should do well to confirm information before sharing, so as to avoid the spread of “baseless rumors.” The statement reiterated their stance on the public speculation being false, with a part that read “Lil Tjay has not been shot nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting.”
The Shooting Caught The Rapper Totally Off Guard
Earlier reports show that Offset was relaxed, chill, and in his element outside the hotel & casino. In the moments leading up to the shooting, the rapper engaged with fans with smiles, totally oblivious of what the next few minutes held in store for him. The Blast reported that witnesses present at the scene recalled that Offset was on a phone call outside near the entrance.
As he stood facing the valet area, several fans came up to him requesting photographs, which he happily obliged. The rapper greeted the fans warmly with a bright countenance, shook several hands, and engaged in small talk with some of them before posing for pictures. Minutes into the friendly interaction, the unexpected took place, leaving many, including the popular artist, in shock.
Viral clips showed that nearby police officers rushed to the scene, where they tried to control the situation and restrain many individuals. Some of those present at the scene resisted the officers; part of the footage reportedly even showed a person being held to the ground during the encounter.
