Days after Hutchins’ passing in July 2025, Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spoke to the outlet about the ATV accident. He revealed the tragic incident likely stemmed from Hutchins driving too fast.

“It looks like she may have been speeding and rear-ended the other car, the other party, and then that caused her to veer to the right and go off the cliff,” Sgt. Saucedo explained. He noted that the accident scene looked like Hutchins had noticed the other car at the last second.

“It looked like she tried to maneuver to go around it, but she was going too fast and just ended up clipping the rear end of that Mazda, causing her to veer off and go off the cliff there,” he added. The incident occurred at 11:30 am, and Hutchins was pronounced dead at the scene.

The same month Jenner filed her creditor’s claim was the same month The Blast covered the Los Angeles County coroner’s verdict about Hutchins’ passing. At the time, the toxicology report revealed that the late manager had not been driving under the influence.

There were no traces of harmful substances in Hutchins’ bloodstream in the moments leading to the accident. The toxicology report matched the initial test results for benzodiazepins, an anti-anxiety drug, which was not found in Hutchins’ body.

Given that no harmful substances or anti-anxiety drugs played a role in Hutchins’ accident, the coroner listed her cause of death as “Multiple Blunt Force Injuries.” The authorities also agreed with the verdict, ruling that Hutchins’ death was an accident.
