The singer’s attacker, who threw a harmful substance at him in Santa Monica last week, was slammed with several charges alongside an active warrant for her arrest.

Lindsey Buckingham earlier secured a five-year restraining order against his stalker in 2024, after she broke into his home and left behind a picture.

The former boy band member clinched a victory in court when his stalker, Michelle Dick, was slapped with multiple felonies by a court in Los Angeles. She is now facing seven counts, including criminal threats, assault with a deadly weapon involving a motor vehicle, and felony vandalism.

A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest, with the bail amount set at $300,000, as the court reportedly found probable cause to continue with charging her due to the connection to multiple stalking incidents. As noted by Rolling Stone, Michelle was also charged with stalking the musician and another person named Stephanie N. in the court documents.

Lindsey’s most recent contact with Michelle was on March 25, when the latter threw an unwanted substance on the former during his outing in Santa Monica. The stalker had reportedly been trailing and attacking the singer since 2021, threatening to kill his family and posing as his biological daughter.

Inside The ‘Dreams’ Singer’s Permanent Restraining Order Against Michelle Dick

The media personality testified against his stalker in 2024 at a Los Angeles court as he pleaded to be protected against the woman. As noted by The Blast, the five-year restraining order that he was granted was an extension of a temporary restraining order he had previously obtained against her.

Lindsey declared to the court that Michelle embarked on a campaign of terror towards him and his family by bombarding his phone and that of his wife, Kristen, with a series of text messages from 2021 to 2022. He also claimed Michelle left disturbing text messages and voicemails, insisting she was a child, a claim she had outrightly denied multiple times.

Her last straw with the couple was when she left collages of Lindsey and Kristen’s letterboxes with pictures of their faces. Michelle has now been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the singer, his wife, and their son, William Buckingham, from December 2024 till December 2029.

Lindsey Buckingham’s Stalker Once Had A Conversation With His Wife

Several encounters between the singer and Michelle had been documented, including an incident where she raised a false alarm about their son trying to harm himself.

Emergency services later confirmed the phone call was untrue and Michelle was detained, but later let go with a warning that she desist from harassing the couple. However, The Blast shared in 2024 that Kristen opened up about the concerning voice messages her son had been receiving for a while before Michelle made the call about a gunshot.

Kristen added that they subsequently had a conversation where Michelle confirmed that she was the mastermind behind the false call. Detectives noted that the stalker may be mentally unstable and dangerous, while stressing the importance of granting the musician a restraining order.

Inside The 76-Year-Old’s Divorce Filing

Lindsey, in his divorce filing as shared by The Blast, claimed that he separated from Kristen on June 3, 2021, one day after Kristen filed for divorce. The estranged couple claimed that irreconcilable differences led to the separation, while the singer asked that both parties be responsible for their legal fees.

Lindsey, in his response to Kristen’s filing, stated that he is reserving the right to amend his response, adding that the division of the assets and properties acquired by both parties before separation and after the marriage can be addressed as they proceed with the settlement.

Lindsey and Kristen parted ways after about two decades together, and they share two adult children, which means that they do not have to worry about any custody drama for their kids.

By September 2021, Lindsey informed news outlets that the divorce had been put on hold in favor of them fixing the marriage. As stated by FOX News, the singer acknowledged that long-term relationships can be challenging, and one must learn to navigate the bumps to get to a desired end.

He also added that the 2020 COVID pandemic may have contributed to the breakdown of so many unions, including theirs. In his words: “Before this all went down, I was not aware that many people file for divorce and then choose not to follow through. Kristen and I agree that it is the best course to follow, focusing instead on working on our relationship.”

He continued that some of the features of being in a long-term relationship are accepting that one will never get to fully know their partners and focusing on what brings them together, rather than those parts that separate them, is the pathway to true happiness.

Lindsey Buckingham has taken a step in the right direction with this new development!
