Erika Kirk is being “transvestigated” by some in the right following a docuseries by Candace Owens that presented several personal details from her childhood.
In the docuseries, details such as the mother-of-two being dressed as a boy during her early school years were unearthed, sparking further speculation among netizens, with some pointing to what they claim are masculine features.
Experts have also weighed in on the situation, noting that no one appears immune to being transvestigated. In Erika Kirk’s case, despite her right-wing alignment, she is now being targeted by the same circles.
Erika Kirk’s Childhood Photos Fueled The Trans Claims

Speculation about celebrities being transgender has been an ongoing trend for some time, but the spotlight has now seemingly shifted to Erika Kirk, the wife of the late right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk.
The claims about Erika were sparked by her husband’s associate, Candace Owens, who launched a docuseries about the mother of two weeks ago that uncovered certain details about her childhood.
Owens shared photos of Erika from her younger years, including one in which she appeared dressed like a boy in an elementary school yearbook, along with having short-cropped hair.
That alone was enough to fuel the narrative that the mother of two is transgender, a claim amplified by the Project Constitution account on X, which has been critical of her since the TPUSA CEO assumed her late husband’s role.
“Is this why Erika’s backstory has so many holes?” the account asked, quoting a post from Owens where she shared the childhood photos of Erika. “Why the family tree doesn’t add up? Why she’s been caught lying about basic facts? Or… is something even darker going on?”
People Were Divided Over Claims Of The Widow Being Trans

The claims got even wilder in the comments, with one person alleging that Erika has male features.
“Hate to break it to everyone, but Erik(a) was obviously born male. Wearing boy clothes in school, has male hips, never been filmed pregnant once, has male clavicles, male arms,” a user wrote.
“I noticed how slim ‘her’ hips were – and ‘she’ said something in one of ‘her’ interviews about everyone thinking ‘she’ was a boy,” another individual said.
Some netizens, however, were not convinced by the claims that Erika is transgender and pushed back against the arguments about her dressing and hairstyle.
“This isn’t a boy’s outfit. I actually had this dress, and you made it black and white because the dress is pink and purple. Also, my sister had this haircut, it was very popular in the 90s,” a netizen commented.
“I had my hair cut just like that in like 6th or 7th grade. Y’all gotta stop with the every girl we don’t like must’ve been born a boy,” another individual wrote.
Expert Weighs In On The Wild Erika Kirk Transvestigation By Right-Wing Accounts: ‘Nobody Is Safe’

Though Erika hasn’t reacted to the claims, gender experts say the focus on the trans allegations from right-wing circles shows how easily anyone can become a target.
“Nobody is safe from this kind of conspiratorial discourse, including those on the right who operate in so-called ‘gender critical’ spaces as thought leaders on how to be transphobic,” said University of Southampton associate professor Lexi Webster, according to HuffPost.
The gender, queer, and trans studies expert further noted that such could happen if the claim that the right has been infiltrated by trans people were true.
“Nobody is safe from the trans community. We are all in significant danger, and something should be done about it,” Webster added, seemingly suggesting how the right would feel.
Expert Reveals Why ‘Transvestigations’ Target High-Profile Women Like The TPUSA CEO

Another expert argued that transvestigations often target high-profile individuals for the wrong reasons and pointed to how it possibly stems from a hatred for the trans community.
“These conspiracies target women in the public eye, seeking to demean those women and diminish their credibility,” said Jay Daniel Thompson, a Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology lecturer, per HuffPost.
“This suggests that transvestigations are not just transphobic; they’re also deeply misogynistic,” he added.
Speaking further on the issue, Thompson explained why transvestigation and other conspiracy theories have increased in recent years.
“Conspiratorialism is not new, but the fact that it’s become so ubiquitous these last 10 years reflects a combination of social upheaval and an increasingly interactive internet where information travels faster and wider than before,” he added.
Erika Kirk Says She Does Not Care About What Her Critics Have To Say About Her Online
Erika has seemingly clapped back at her detractors, as she addressed online comments about her during an appearance at a Turning Point USA event at George Washington University.
The widow, while speaking alongside White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, claimed that she never notices the criticism aimed at her online until a person close to her brings it to her attention.
“There will be people that are like, ‘Did you see what they’re saying about you on X?’ And I’m like, ‘No, I quite frankly I don’t have the time,” the businesswoman stated.
Her remarks came after a viral skit by comedian Druski, who made a mockery of her, further sparking more negative discourse about the mother of two. But Erika branded all of it as “noise.
“And actually, quite frankly, I really do not care,” she said. “I am actually really busy right now playing MAGNA-TILES, and that is way more important than hearing the endless onslaught that really is just noise.”
