Britney Spears has shown off a gnarly-looking injury on Instagram as she marks Easter in a rather painful way. The singer, 44, let her fans know that she spent the holiday weekend in Mexico this year, but there wasn’t a smile in sight as she showed only her bruised and swollen knee. Sharing a photo that showed one of her legs, Britney joked about her “sexy knee,” also wishing her followers all the best over Easter. The post comes in the wake of Britney’s DUI arrest, which saw her stopped and pulled over in Ventura County, CA last month. Spears is due to appear in court in early May.

Looking like she’d suffered a fall or knock, Britney showed a larger-than-normal knee cap, and with that raw, red skin, she didn’t look too comfortable.

Offering zero context as she opted out of explaining what happened, Britney wrote: “Happy Easter, sexy knee in Mexico.” The pop sensation has disabled comments on her Instagram, however her share did attract over 50,000 likes.
Spears deleted her entire feed in the wake of her March 4 arrest, but she quickly reinstated it, sharing a yacht-set video while spending time with sons Jayden James and Sean Preston. Britney spent the night of March 4 in custody and was released shortly after 6 a.m. on March 5.
Driving ‘Erratically’ Before Being Pulled Over
On March 6, audio from the police dispatcher handling Britney Spears’ driving incident revealed:
“At approximately 8.48pm, a black BMW 430i was reported to the CHP’s Ventura Communications Centre for driving erratically at a high rate of speed on southbound US-101 near the Borchard Road exit in Newbury Park.” Britney was then arrested on DUI charges and taken to Ventura County Main Jail. The Grammy winner has since made a statement via her rep, which came as a humble message that also mentioned her two sons. The statement called the incident “completely inexcusable,” adding that it: “can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life”.
