Kim Zolciak will not get to see her precious kids for a while.
The Bravo star was given a strict requirement to fulfill before reuniting with her children, who are currently under her ex-husband, Kroy Biermann‘s care, as she gets busy with therapy.
Kim Zolciak and her estranged husband filed for divorce in May 2023 after 11 years of marriage, experiencing a brief moment of reconciliation in July 2023 until Kroy Biermann filed again in August 2023.
Kim Zolciak Is Slated To Return Home Mid-April
The 47-year-old has been told that to be able to see her kids this month, she must complete her court-ordered therapy, which begins April 3. A Georgia judge informed the singer that her children will have to stay with Kroy from April 3 until she completes the four parent therapy sessions.
The reality star is slated to return to her children by April 13. Kim’s new normal comes days after her estranged husband demanded sole custody of the four minor children last week, noting that Kim had been out of the country for a few weeks and had not seen the children.
As shared by TMZ, he added that he also missed court-ordered therapy sessions, and on the one night she had the children over, one of them got attacked by a dog.
The Mother-Of-Six Attempted To Poke Holes In Kroy Biermann’s Filing
Kim promptly responded to the March 31 document from Kroy that she left behind her parenting commitments to go on a trip. As noted by The Blast, she explained that his accusations are false and a very deliberate attempt by her estranged husband to ruin her name and character.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star revealed that she traveled out of the country for good reasons, and it was to work on two TV shows to get paid and support her family financially, which she did not see as a terrible decision.
She continued that she would not stand for being bullied or having lies spun into harmful narratives about her. Kim added that she will not stay silent because the truth is on her side, and it will come to light regardless of how much anyone tries to silence it.
Kim Zolciak’s Last Divorce Update Was Her Wish For It To Be All Over
The reality star poured her heart out to news outlets last November at BravoCon, where she expressed confusion about their divorce ever being over due to several loopholes. In her words:
“I wish it would be over tomorrow. It’s just difficult. I’ve never not been able to coparent with my ex and things like that. So, this is just what I want. I want to be able to coparent and do what’s best for our children.”
The reality star emphasized her readiness to have a seamless relationship with Kroy, especially after so many years together, a good past, and four children throughout their marriage. She expressed her frustration that, after exhausting all possible means of mediation and resolution, she does not see them making a headway in their current dynamic.
The Former Couple Reached A Private Custody Agreement In January
Kroy and Kim opened another chapter in their divorce earlier this year when they reportedly had a mediation session on January 27 to address the custody situation of their four younger children. As noted by The Blast, details about the private session remained undisclosed, but the duo seemingly came to an agreement to put a temporary custody arrangement in place.
Meanwhile, Kroy and Kim are reportedly yet to finalize the divorce process nearly three years after they pulled the plug on the marriage. Since making the divorce move, the estranged couple has embarked on life-changing decisions like moving out of their marital home following an ejection by U.S. Marshals on April 8, 2025.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star has found a new home, and in January 2026, she showed it off to the fans, with parts of the house, like her living room, bathroom, and kitchen, making a cameo. As for Kroy, he has decided to be silent, but is believed to be living in the Atlanta area since their Georgia home was sold in January 2025 for $2.8 million after major price slashes.

Details from the process will be kept away from the public, as she would be providing communication records and documents, which may relate to any gifts she has received from him so far. Kim and her new boyfriend began dating last Spring, between April and May, about one year after he separated from Jillian in 2024.
