Tiger Woods‘ latest crash and DUI arrest have placed him under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, prompting individuals with connections to him to speak out.
Adding to the discourse about the legendary golfer is his ex-girlfriend, Kristin Smith, who has branded his run-in with the law “triggering.”
Tiger Woods’ DUI incident has also affected his personal life, with reports claiming that his current partner, Vanessa Trump, has decided to step back from their relationship.
Tiger Woods Ex-Girlfriend Addresses His ‘Triggering’ DUI Arrest

Kristin Smith, one of Tiger Woods’ ex-partners, has issued a statement, labeling his car crash and DUI arrest “unsettling.”
The former couple started dating in November 2016, but had broken up before the golfer’s first DUI incident in May 2017.
Although Smith didn’t mention Woods’ name in her post, her remarks were clearly related to his recent crash. She said, “Regarding recent events and my past, I have moved forward and being dragged back into these moments, and untrue narratives is triggering.”
Smith continued, “Beyond that, after traumatic unrelated incidents over the last couple of years, I don’t handle being unexpectedly approached or confrontation well, and it can be deeply unsettling for me.”
“Anxiety and fear of my family and me being contacted, watched, or followed, in hopes of provoking a reaction about something that has not involved me for a very long time, simply does not get easier,” she concluded, per the Daily Mail.
Kristin Smith Was Deeply Bothered By The Golfer’s 2017 DUI Arrest, Despite Their Breakup

Woods’ first DUI arrest happened in 2017. Police reportedly found the golfer slumped in his car with a cocktail of drugs in his system, including painkillers.
According to the Daily Mail, his arrest left Smith, who was shopping in a store in Dallas, Texas, when she heard the news, in hysterics despite their separation.
Their split before the DUI incident was confirmed by Woods, who had shared on social media that he and Smith had stopped dating since the end of 2016.
While it’s unclear what led to the former couple’s breakup, it may be due to the golfer’s alleged infidelity, as reports claim Woods had an affair with the manager of his Florida restaurant, Erica Herman, while he was still in a relationship with Smith.
Tiger Woods’ Ex-Wife Is ‘Concerned’ For Him After His Recent Crash

Besides Smith, another of Woods’ past partners has expressed worry after his DUI crash. His ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, who shares two kids, Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel Woods, with the golfer, is said to be “concerned” for him.
A source close to Nordegren shared the information with People Magazine, noting that Nordegren still cares about Woods despite their divorce.
“The kids are close with Tiger, so of course Elin cares too,” the source said. “She wants him to be well. Both kids are great and love spending time with their dad. Elin’s concerned that he had another car crash and got arrested.”
“His recovery from the crash [in 2021] in California was brutal,” the source added, referencing Woods’ previous accident before his latest crash. “[Elin] just wants him to make the best choices for himself. It’s about his health and being there for the kids.”
Vanessa Trump Has Taken A Step Back From Her Relationship With The Golfer

Woods is presently dating Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of the US president, Donald Trump.
According to reports, his latest crash has affected their relationship, with sources claiming that she has taken a step back to focus on her children, whom she shares with Donald Trump Jr.
“That situation was a wake-up call,” a source told journalist Rob Shuter for his Substack. “She’s not doing messy again.”
“Her priority is her children,” the source added. “That comes before everything.”
People close to Vanessa claim that she did not “make a scene” with Woods and has simply opted to step back and choose “a different path.”
Tiger Woods’ Inner Circle Claims That He Is ‘Frustrated’ And ‘Depressed’ About His ‘State Of Health’

Woods’ inner circle has also spoken out about his shocking DUI crash incident, urging the 50-year-old to “get real” about his well-being and act his age.
“He is enabled by people making money off of his talent and reputation, but with his injuries and age, he is frustrated and depressed about his state of health,” an insider told People about Woods. “He wants to play in major tournaments like the Masters, but he needs to get real.”
“Once he does that, he should be better off because people do like Tiger. He is a good person,” the source continued.
Woods’ latest DUI arrest happened after he crashed while cruising in his Land Rover. The golfer was reportedly attempting to overtake a truck pulling a small trailer on a narrow stretch of South Beach Road when his vehicle clipped the back of the trailer, causing it to flip onto its side and skid across the road.
