This recent post comes days after she broke her online silence with two updates on her Instagram stories. The media personality’s recent posts seem to be brewing a cryptic theme, as she has yet to address the subject of her ongoing domestic violence scandal.
Taylor Frankie Paul made recent headlines after her supposed debut season of “The Bachelorette” was cancelled in light of a viral assault video. The footage featured an ugly altercation between the star and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, where she was seen throwing metal chairs at him.
Taylor Frankie Paul Is Seemingly Returning To Public Eye Gradually

Taylor is slowly regaining face on social media after the news of her domestic assault case broke out, and a cloud of silence ensued shortly after. The media personality shared a video of her playing the piano on her Instagram. The cryptic video shows her attempting to play the tune of “Runaway” by Kanye West with her face completely hidden from the camera.
The star, who usually uploads videos of herself all dolled up, was dressed in a grey hoodie that concealed her face and blue sweatpants as she played the black and white keys. On the video, she wrote, “I was just playing around and found I kinda like this.” This reel marks her first post on the grid since the scandal erupted. “I learned this today for no reason.. I think I have a real future in piano,” she captioned the video, which has amassed thousands of reactions and comments.
Many fans expressed concern and care for the reality TV star, sending words of encouragement and prayers. “This is the saddest thing ever. To not even show her face [teary face emoji] I hope you’re okay, Taylor [red heart emoji],” a fan wrote. “You got this, Taylor. We love you! You’ve grown so much already [red heart emoji],” another added.
The Reality TV Star Has Been Gearing Up To Tell Her Story
Taylor’s silence may have an underlying purpose that would come to light sooner than later. In case you missed it, ABC released a statement confirming that this season of “The Bachelorette” will not air after the video of the altercation between the star and Dakota became widespread.
After the statement disclosing the cancellation was released, Taylor, via her rep, also made a statement claiming that she had suffered a fair share of abuse in silence for years. They stated that the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star had struggled with “extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation.”
The rep further shared that Taylor was finally gaining strength to face her accuser and ensure that her safety and that of her children is uncompromised. They continued, revealing that the TV star has been quiet for so long “out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming.” Putting her fears aside, she is reportedly seeking support while going through her options in preparation to own and share her story, as shared by The Daily Mail.
The ‘Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’ Star Was Not Completely In The Shadows
Although Taylor’s social media presence has notably reduced, especially on Instagram, she has been quite present on Tiktok. She also broke her silence on Instagram a few days ago, updating her stories with posts about gratitude. She shared two slides where she expressed that she was grateful to her friends who had reached out to her amid the ongoing scandal.
“Your unconditional kindness and check-in can be someone’s lifeline,” she wrote across the first picture of mountains and clear blue skies. As shared by The Blast, the Hulu star also noted that she was appreciative of the calls, prayers, and check-ins she had received while navigating through these tough times.
In the second update, a picture of her personalised Bible, showing she was leaning on her faith, and a notebook with “Gratitude” bolding written on the captured page were featured. “Ending every single night with gratitude even if it’s just ONE glimmer,” the reality TV star wrote over the picture. While she made no mention of the situation, fans could understand where Taylor’s message stemmed from.
What Happened Before The Reality Star Was Arrested?

In 2023, the social media influencer was arrested after a heated brawl between her ex-boyfriend. Subsequently, Dakota filed for a restraining order alleging that she had choked, hit, and shoved him out of a window. He also requested for custody of their son, Ever, bringing to light the TV star’s alleged issues with alcohol and intoxication.
The case was not just Dakota’s word against Taylor’s, as a recording of a 911 call from their neighbor recently resurfaced. In the phone call made on the night of her arrest, the neighbor can be heard informing the authorities of an intense ongoing physical altercation. “First, there’s like domestic violence; somebody is screaming, ‘get off me.’ There is a woman screaming,” the neighbor said on the phone. “The garage door keeps opening and shutting. It sounds like she’s trying to get out.”
The Blast reported that the neighbor did their due diligence, informing the authorities, but wanted to remain anonymous. “But anyway, I don’t really want them to know that I’m the one who’s calling the police,” the caller was heard saying.
Taylor Frankie Paul Has Seen Both Sides Of The Coin

There is no saying that this situation has rocked all the ends of Taylor’s world. Beginning from the cancelled season, which has left the star and fans disappointed. Reportedly, the Hulu star decided to join the ABC hit show in hopes of putting her toxic relationship with her ex behind her and finding love once again.
Since the controversial video made waves, there have been reports of cold air between the star and her newfound love, Doug Mason. On the other hand, Taylor will still receive her full payment for being the star of “The Bachelorette,” having approximately six figures wired to her account, even though the season did not air. This is because her contract states payment for service rendered, and she fulfilled these terms by presenting herself for complete filming for the entire season, as well as doing promotional tours for the show.
As shared by The Blast, her personal/family life also faced the heat. Taylor has been ordered by a judge to stay at least 100 feet from her son, Ever True Mortensen, and her ex. Dakota has filed for sole custody of Ever, and a hearing date has been set for April 7. Till then, the star will not be allowed to see or spend time with her son.
