Joseph Duggar does not have that much going on for him in custody!
The 31-year-old has basically been getting little to no motion behind bars, as no family members have come around to check up on him at the Washington County Correctional Facility.
Joseph Duggar was arrested on March 18 in Turnitown, Arkansas, after he reportedly admitted to molesting a 9-year-old in Florida during a family vacation in 2020.
Joseph Duggar’s Attorney Identified As His Only Jail Visitor
Since the TV personality’s arrest over a week ago and subsequent detention, he has reportedly received no visits except from his lawyer. So far, he has also called just two people from jail, including his wife and a management consultant, on March 19.
Sources from the cell confirmed that Kendra Caldwell Duggar did not respond to the call, nor did his second contact call back. He reportedly called Kendra again on March 20, and they spoke for nearly ten minutes. Joseph followed up with two more phone calls on March 21 and 22, respectively, which lasted 21.
He also made two separate calls to Kendra’s cell on March 23, with the former lasting 9 minutes for the latter. Page Six noted that from March 24 to 26, the realtor spent 20 minutes on two calls per day with the mother of four. Joseph’s mugshot on March 19 showed him wearing a gray shirt while looking very unkempt.
What The TLC Star Told His Wife During A Phone Call
Joseph’s conversation with his wife on March 20 was obtained by PEOPLE, who claimed it happened around 8:11 p.m., where he told her he was being held in solitary confinement. The call came a few hours after Kendra was arrested and released from the same jail where the realtor was held.
Joseph shared with his wife in hushed tones that he has been reading the Bible from page to page while he spends 23 hours a day in the 8-by-10 room. He noted that he has been able to really cover ground when it comes to reading, but sleeping through the night has not been that great.
The couple also came to an agreement about the reality star signing over the belongings he checked in when he was booked at the facility to her so she could take them home. Kendra is slated to appear in court on April 29, as Joseph awaits his removal to Florida.

The reality star’s arrest came a few years after his older brother, Josh Duggar, was arrested and convicted for possessing child sexual abuse material. Following the public nature of Joseph’s arrest, he was placed in a very secure area of the facility while he awaits extradition to Florida to face penalties for the charges.
As stated by The Blast, a supervising corporal affirmed that safety for the realtor was paramount, as there is an understanding of how predictable jail can be. This account may now match with Joseph’s revelation above that he was placed in solitary confinement.
Staff in jail are reportedly placing Joseph under hourly checks, and no cameras are being allowed to look directly into the cells due to the privacy laws in the state. In the absence of these cameras, the officers on watch duty have been wearing body cameras while making sure he do not harm themselves in any way.

While all this is going on, one of Joseph’s siblings is literally sticking out his neck for him in his defense, and it is the convicted one. Josh is claiming that his brother has been falsely accused by the minor who informed cops that he touched her inappropriately during a family vacation in Florida.
Josh, through his attorney, emphasized that the allegations are fictions with a sensational touch to them, adding that he understands the stigma of being falsely accused and how it may ruin someone’s life. “He understands how the targeting of a person for publicity can twist the truth into sensationalized fiction,” his legal counsel continued.
As for Kendra, the comment section of her once deserted Instagram account has been filled with advice from fans urging her to get out of the marriage to Joseph. Joseph’s arrest is the second sexually related scandal to rock the family in about a decade, and now the public is calling for a closer look into the family.

According to the victim, Joseph carried out uncomfortable sexual acts on her during a vacation at Panama City Beach six years ago. Since his arrest in relation to the claims, Kendra’s social media footprints have come into question, especially since she went off the grid a year after the incident occurred.
Months after the realtor allegedly abused the minor, Kendra and Joseph welcomed their third child, Brooklyn Praise Duggar, in February 2021 and shared the news on the family’s page. As at November 2021, the account stopped posting, leaving fans with a birthday post for their second child, Addison, as the parting content.
