Alan Ritchson is keeping his words minimal after his heated neighborhood showdown.

The “Reacher” star has been dealing with tons of attention following the rough encounter between himself and his neighbor over his bike riding habits, which the neighbor claimed endangered people.

Alan Ritchson’s neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, has since spoken about the incident, insisting that he had no idea who the actor was, nor were things as dire as they appeared on camera.

The actor shared a post on his social media page about 15 hours ago, which spoke about never interrupting an enemy when they are making a mistake. Ritchson’s post has since garnered over 50k likes and thousands of comments supporting him for displaying self-control on camera.

“True fans love you. I don’t for a second believe you would have acted that way without being provoked or assaulted first,” a fan wrote in the comments. Another commenter joked that Ritchson has embodied his “Jack Reacher” character over the years, and it came to the fore with those punches.

“Trust what you did was with reason, and don’t regret it. Haters will always have a reason to hate. Nobody has the right to judge what they don’t know all the details of. Whatever it is, you’ve got this, and to every 1 hater there are 1000 supporters,” another Instagram user assured him.

This fan wondered why anyone in their right mind would see Ritchson riding a bike and think the next thing to do was pick a fight with him. They praised the actor for dealing with the situation, adding that the noisy neighbor just wanted their 15 minutes of fame.

The Media Personality Also Did Not Say Much In Person

Ritchson finally broke his silence on the situation, addressing the teeming media attention with a response as concise as possible. As noted by The Blast, he confirmed that he will not be able to answer any questions at the moment due to an ongoing investigation into the case.

A spokesperson from law enforcement authorities also declared that there is an active investigation going on and no arrests have been made. They also assured that there will be a police report available when the investigation has concluded.

Days before Ritchson’s episode with his neighbor, he reportedly had just arrived from filming a movie abroad and had shared a post about fatigue and jet lag. Witnesses who watched the whole confrontation go down claimed that it was rather unusual due to the calm nature of their neighborhood.

Taylor admitted that before the incident, Ritchson’s celebrity status was alien to him, and he simply took a stand because someone had to. He explained that he got clarity about his identity after the incident, which did not look exactly as portrayed by the media and clips from the scene.

Taylor affirmed that the blowup did not start spontaneously, as Ritchson had reportedly been causing a noise in the neighborhood the day prior. He noted that the whole episode escalated after he warned the actor to slow down with his driving and watch out for people who may get hurt in the process of his interesting driving.

“I’ve had such a sh-tty day today, I don’t wish the guy any malice or ill will, but we just don’t need people riding through neighborhoods like this, and I decided I’d take a stand because someone had to,” Taylor concluded, defending the disturbing scene.

As stated by The Blast, eyewitnesses claimed the neighbor instigated the fight by daring Ritchson to come for him twice, forcing the actor to swing into action. He reportedly suffered bruises, cuts, and injuries to his fingers from Taylor’s big shove, which threw him off the bike.

After the confrontation was done, Ritchson was spotted leaving the scene with his bike and the kids trailing him. However, a section of social media users slammed the actor for failing to contain his outburst in front of the children. The critics insisted that some acts of extreme violence should never be normalised in front of minors because such scenes may haunt them later in life.

Ritchson shares three boys with his wife, Catherine Ritchson, whom he married about two decades ago. Otherwise, the majority of the consensus on the exchange agreed that the neighbor deserved the beating he got because he walked back to the actor for a couple more punches.

The actor became a household name after an excellent performance on Prime Video’s “Reacher,” and has maintained the same impressive tempo over the years. He recently got busy as Army Sergeant “81” on Netflix’s “War Machine,” which, according to him, stretched him in ways he never envisioned.

He added that embodying the character left him mostly physically exhausted, but that did not stop him from always giving his best on set. In the Netflix movie, Ritchson was a combat engineer training to become an Army Ranger.

He was motivated by his brother’s death in Afghanistan to lead his unit through a deadly, unexpected battle against a destructive alien AI killing machine in the Colorado jungle. The development took what was meant to be a training exercise into a fight for survival.
