Barron Trump‘s half-siblings, Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump, were reportedly absent from the young adult’s 20th birthday celebration.
Insiders claim his older brothers and sister were left off the guest list by his mother, Melania Trump, who made the decision for both emotional and personal reasons.
Melania is known for her strict approach to raising her son, Barron, and has reportedly implemented several measures in recent times to maintain his privacy.
Melania Trump Reportedly Froze Out Barron’s Half-Siblings From His Birthday List
Turning 20 is typically marked by a big celebration for the celebrant, as it signals the full transition out of the teenage years and into a new phase of adulthood.
However, for Barron Trump, his 20th birthday was reportedly observed in a “small,” “private” and “controlled” manner, without the presence of his half-siblings, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump.
While some may wonder if the trio didn’t attend due to the significant age gap between them and the former teenager, sources who spoke with Rob Shuter’s #ShutterScoop revealed that Barron’s mother, Melania Trump, was the one behind their absence.
“They’re not close — at all,” one source told the journalist. “This wasn’t an oversight. They were left off the list.”
Another insider also pointed out that Melania had another important reason for making the very deliberate decision.
“Melania is in charge, and she wanted this to be about Barron — not about Donald Trump, and not about his other children,” the source claimed.
The Former Model Believes There Is No ‘Real Bond’ Between Barron And His Half-Siblings
When Melania made the alleged decision to exclude Barron’s siblings from his party, she is said to have considered both personal and emotional reasons.
One of those reasons is believed to be how differently they were raised compared to Barron, and she seemingly didn’t want such an aura around her son on his big day.
“Barron didn’t grow up with them in the same way,” the insider added. “There isn’t a real bond there.”
The First Lady Has Always Kept Her Son ‘Separate’
Speaking further on the birthday drama, the insider noted that Melania has always been very protective of her son, keeping him away from his older half-siblings as much as possible.
While the lack of an invite definitely raised eyebrows, Melania is also said not to have cared if it made her look bad.
“She’s always kept Barron separate,” the source remarked. “This just made it obvious.”
“It’s clear where everyone stands and who matters in Barron’s world,” the insider added about the birthday snub.
Melania Trump Has Taken Multiple Protective Measures For Barron In Recent Months
Melania’s actions come as no surprise, as past reports have revealed how much control she maintains over her son’s affairs.
She reportedly recently introduced a strict rule for members of her husband’s Mar-a-Lago club, enforcing that they do not encroach on her son’s privacy whenever he visits.
“Melania made it very clear that Barron’s privacy is non-negotiable,” an insider told Rob Shuter’s #Shutter Scoop after an incident at the club. “Anyone caught filming or taking pictures would face immediate consequences, including potential banning from the club.”
She also reportedly restricted her son’s online activities following an incident with an online female friend that led to Barron’s testimony being used in a British court.
“Melania shut it down completely,” an insider said. “No debate. No negotiations. The answer was simply ‘this stops now.'”
“No exceptions. No loopholes,” one more source also remarked about the situation, adding, “Melania was crystal clear.”
Melania Trump Called Barron An ‘Incredible Young Man’
In a rare interview in January with Fox News, Melania opened up about Barron, whom she welcomed with Donald Trump in 2006.
She called the 20-year-old “an incredible young man” and pointed out that the family is “very proud of him.”
Speaking further, she cited his immense growth and how he has since become an integral part of his father’s advisory team with regard to politics.
“This time it’s very different because he’s 19 years old, and the first time he was 10 years old. He understands politics, he gives advice to his father, we talk about it, so very different,” she revealed, adding that the teenager helped sway some votes towards Trump, which brought him in for a second presidential term.
“He gave him all of the ideas of who he needs to talk to — all of these YouTubers and, you know, podcasts. So he was really a smart mind behind it,” the former model added, per The Blast.
