Although his post recently went viral, Beaver first announced Fleming’s passing on Facebook on March 1, 2026. He penned a lengthy message about their time together while lamenting the cruel fate of losing two wonderful women to the same disease.

“To find a soul mate once in life is something of a miracle. To find one twice is almost unimaginable,” Beaver began, referencing his late second wife, Cecily Adams, and Fleming. He described Cecily as his “first and greatest love,” whose death nearly destroyed him.

Beaver lost Cecily to cancer in 2004 and lost Fleming, his TV wife, to the same disease on February 26, 2026. “I never thought my heart could break so badly more than once. But it has. But, oh, the two torches I carry, what bright, bright light they shed,” he penned.

While reflecting on his time with Fleming, his second soul mate, Beaver, noted that she was cast as his wife on “Supernatural” in his fifth season on the show. “I fell for her hard, and I did it mere seconds after meeting her. To my joy and shock, it seems the same thing happened to her,” Beaver recalled.

Besides their instant chemistry, the actor noted that their first conversation before their first scene revealed an unexpected connection. Beaver remembered being “flummoxed” when Fleming mentioned the name “Madeline Rose,” which was his daughter’s name.

When he asked what the name meant to Fleming, he was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was her daughter’s name. Beaver explained that their daughters’ names, despite their different spellings, sparked the start of their years-long friendship.

Beaver’s recollections continued with touching tributes to Fleming, whom he remembered as “a powerhouse of vitality and goodwill and amazingly good nature.” He recalled she had “a rapturous laugh and an utterly adorable personality that didn’t seem to have an off switch.”

“I was so in love, I think my eyes turned silver,” Beaver claimed. He accompanied his post with a carousel of images detailing his close relationship with Fleming. The heartfelt message sparked an outpouring of love and support from fans, who joined him in mourning the late actress.

Many sent their condolences and prayers to Beaver, resonating with his pain of losing two beloved women to cancer. “I am both gutted by your misfortune…and yet envious,” someone wrote, presumably referring to Beaver finding two soul mates in life. “I am so terribly sorry for your losses. Life can be so beautiful and so hard,” another fan added.
