Kelli Ferrell‘s ex-husband lands himself in serious trouble with the law.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star’s former partner was taken into custody by law enforcement officials over a crime he seemingly committed last year as his child support battle with the Bravo star continues.
Kelli Ferrell’s ex-husband, Mark Ferrell Chuvalo, sued Bravo late last year for a six-figure sum, claiming that his image was unfairly represented on the show and the state of his finances was wrongly reported.
Kelli Ferrell’s Ex Husband Is Dealing With A Felony Charge
The reality star’s ex, Mark Ferrell, was arrested on a theft charge and charged with a felony. The arrest happened on Tuesday, and she was taken into custody in Georgia and booked on a felony charge of theft by taking, as stated online.
The arrest reportedly happened on Tuesday, March 17, while the alleged incident happened back in November 2025. Kelli and Mark are currently slugging it out in court over the child support, after he was arrested for an unpaid balance last year based on Kelli’s claims.
TMZ stated that he was subsequently released after paying the money owed. Kelli and Mark tied the knot in 2011 and filed for divorce in 2022, and finalized the process in 2024.
Inside The Former Couple’s Divorce Settlement Last Year
The 41-year-old finalized things with her estranged husband on September 23, 2024. As shared by In Touch, the judgment revealed that Kelli and Mark appeared before the court on two separate occasions in August 2024.
After the judge reviewed the evidence, a decision was reached on how to divide the property and support. The court ordered Mark and Kelli to share joint legal custody as the reality star was awarded primary custody and will have the right to make any decisions on the child’s education and non-emergency healthcare.
Mark was also permitted to visit and spend time with their child, alongside making a payment of $3991 per month in child support, and also maintain health insurance for his child. The court also ordered the former couple to split the proceeds from the sale of their marital home.
Kelli Ferrell’s Ex Husband Was Locked Up For Owing $14,889
Kelli was equally awarded all household furniture worth $45,000, a 2021 Navy Blue Cadillac Escalade, a Rolex Oyster wristwatch, a diamond necklace, and her wedding ring set. During their separation, Kelli and Mark defaulted on accrued federal sales taxes and Georgia state tax liabilities from their business operations from 2017 to 2022, and the court indicated who would pay each debt.
On August 7 2025, the judge granted Kelli’s request to throw Mark behind bars over her debt, and he was held behind bars until he settled his nearly $15,000 debt. He was subsequently booked into the Rockdale County jail the same day, and he was released on August 14, 2024, after posting bond.
During the process, Mark demanded joint legal and physical custody, as a statement from his representative revealed that his client has consistently tried to resolve their issues amicably while protecting the best interests of their children.
Mark Ferrell Chuvalo Dragged Bravo To Court For $200 Million
Last October, The Blast shared that Mark accused the network of cooking up stories about his behaviors and finances, which were untrue while on the show. According to his lawyers, his estranged wife also erroneously claimed that Mark was abusive towards her, alongside claims that he owed her some money she lent him.
Mark’s lawyers insisted the stories were not true, and as for the money, Mark shared that he and Kelli went in together on a $420,000 loan three years ago for a restaurant called Nana’s Chicken & Waffles, which was meant to be their dream business.
He added that Kelli misused the money and spent it on a birthday party celebration, among other frivolities, which she does not support. Mark shared that Kelli switched the narrative to cover up her mistakes, refusing to admit that she mismanaged the funds and decided it was better to claim he took money from her.
Kelli Ferrell And Her Neighbor Were Allegedly Involved In An Altercation Last Year
The Blast noted in September 2025 that Kelli called law enforcement agents on her neighbor after they got into a heated exchange over her daughter’s vehicle. Kelli had reportedly told 911 dispatchers that her neighbor assaulted her, leaving physical marks on her body.
“At this point … I don’t trust it … I recorded it, I want to show the officers so they can see what is happening,” she went on, later saying, “I don’t feel safe with her. I really don’t. I don’t feel safe,” she declared to the dispatcher.
Kelli’s 911 call came after it was reported that her neighbor was granted a protective order against her for claiming the reality star entered her home without permission. The Bravo star and her neighbor got into it after she noticed there were parking boots placed on one of her daughter’s vehicles, which she tagged as unnecessary.
