Erika Kirk is being accused of going shopping less than 24 hours after Charlie Kirk was assassinated at a Turning Point USA event last year.
The new CEO of the nonprofit has been at the center of several allegations since her husband’s death, with the latest claiming her alleged shopping spree was overpriced and odd for a grieving widow.
Erika Kirk has also been criticized for her behavior in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s passing, including her increased public appearances.
Erika Kirk Allegedly Spent Over $1,000 On The Shopping Spree

In the aftermath of Charlie’s death, much of the focus was on apprehending his killer, but new reports have shed light on how his wife, Erika Kirk, allegedly reacted during that time.
According to the IBTimes, an influencer revealed that a source told them the mother of two went shopping less than 24 hours after Charlie was killed.
The individual who made the discovery is said to be an employee at Alo Yoga, a premium athletic apparel retailer known for yoga pants, workout tights, leggings, and other clothing items.
While speaking with the TikToker, the anonymous source also shared what was described as a receipt from Erika’s alleged shopping trip.
The receipt was shown in the video, which currently has six million views, and indicated that the TPUSA CEO spent just over $1,000 at the store.
The TikTok influencer further claimed that Erika purchased several all-black outfits, including a tracksuit.
The Widow’s Alleged Behavior Was Described As Odd: ‘That Is Not How Grief Works For A Normal Person’
Taking a swipe at Erika, the influencer, revealed that he found it odd that Erika would go on a shopping spree during her moment of grief, and choose a place that is known to sell “extremely, extremely overpriced” items.
“I don’t even know what’s more egregious to me. The fact that she went on a shopping spree not even 24 hours after her husband was publicly assassinated, or the fact that she shops at Alo?” remarked the content creator.
UPDATE: Erika Kirk was wearing a black ALO track suit when she deplaned from Air Force 2 at ~5 PM MST on 9/11/25. Looks like the internet has verified she purchased it that day. I don't know that it means anything beyond needing a change of clothes, but there's your fact check. https://t.co/4pWpY1WsrU pic.twitter.com/Hb1MPzClse

Erika’s accuser also claimed the items weren’t suitable for a funeral, adding that even if they were, she should have been too shocked at the time to even think about shopping.
“That is not how shock works. That is not how grief works for a normal person, the TikToker further remarked, “No one’s wearing leggings and a sports bra to their husband’s funeral.”
Erika Kirk Came Under Scrutiny Over The Viral Post

Since the allegations were posted, the video has garnered nearly a million likes and sparked widespread reactions on the social media app.
Many users have openly criticized Erika’s alleged actions, pointing out how unusual they seemed during such a sensitive period.
“I can’t even remember the first 2 to 3 days after my dad passed. shopping would have never crossed my mind,” one wrote.
“Shopping spree less than 24hrs later is insane,” said another individual, while a third remarked, “She didn’t care about that man at all.”
Some users also trolled the TPUSA CEO with sarcastic comments.
One wrote, “Everyone grieves differently. Some cry, and some go on shopping sprees, do Super Bowl-style funeral concerts, and sell merch. Who are we to judge?”
Another commented, “There are now 6 stages of grief and shopping is #1.”
The Widow Has Faced Intense Scrutiny Since Charlie’s Demise

In the meantime, Erika has yet to respond to the recent allegations by the TikTok influencer, Markos, including whether the shopping was done by her or an assistant.
In recent weeks, she has also faced intense scrutiny, particularly regarding her demeanor following her husband’s death.
Some critics claim her behaviour has seemingly trivialized his passing, with one such accusation coming from her late husband’s pal, Candace Owens.
Owens previously released an audio clip in which Erika was allegedly heard discussing the success of a TPUSA event and making what some described as a bizarre comment about her husband’s death.
“My husband’s dead. Like, I’m not trying to be morbid, but he’s dead. And it puts life into perspective of how short life is, and relationships,” Erika said.
In response to Erika’s remarks, Owens said at the time that she was surprised by Erika’s seemingly calm reaction.
“In my imagination, I just thought that she would be more upset,” the right-wing influencer noted on an episode of her podcast.
Erika Kirk Addresses Comments Telling Her To Go Back To Being A ‘Stay-At-Home’ Mom

While Erika has yet to address the recent allegations, she has shut down critics who called for her to return to being a “stay-at-home mom.”
During a TPUSA event, she clarified that she had a business even before her marriage to Charlie. The widow also stated that she designed her business in a way that it would be self-sufficient, and she could focus on her marriage and motherhood.
“I get this question: ‘You were a stay-at-home mom, that’s what you should go back to doing.’ A lot of people don’t realize that before I met Charlie, I had my own company, and I still do,” Erika said per The Blast.
“I built it in a way that when I got married and had children, it could run on its own. I didn’t have to do day-to-day,” she added.
Erika also addressed criticism of her TPUSA role, stating that she did not see her “life being like this.”
“This is not a business card opportunity. There is something very Biblical in a woman honoring her husband and stepping up and standing in,” she further noted.
