It’s a good time for Guinness. That’s right—the fastest-growing beer in bars and eateries in America is stretching St. Patrick’s Day beyond a single day and into a month-long celebration. This year, Guinness is partnering with those who truly embody the holiday, raising a pint to the craft, and giving back to the community like never before.

According to an official press release sent to The Blast, Guinness is spending the entire month celebrating hospitality alongside the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, hosts of the world’s premier cocktail festivals.

“St. Patrick’s Day is about ritual, pride and community,” said Karissa Downer, Director of Guinness in the United States. “It’s the one time of year when everyone feels a little bit Irish — and there’s no better way to mark the moment than with a Guinness in hand. This March, we’re giving people even more reasons to come together, celebrate and raise a pint.”

Adding to the fun, Guinness has unveiled a limited-edition collaboration with PopUp Bagels, featuring their Chocolate Stout Cake Schmear, which is infused with Guinness Draught and inspired “by the rich, indulgent flavors of Guinness Chocolate Cake.”

The collaboration allows interested consumers to get their Guinness Schmear at PopUp Bagels locations nationwide until March 25. Eager buyers can even get samples of tiny pints of Guinness Draught and Guinness 0 in Charlotte, NC, Boston, MA, La Jolla, CA, and Atlanta, GA.

In addition to the PopUp Bagels collaboration, the team at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin is currently at the center of the world’s largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Speaking exclusively with The Blast, Guinness Brewery Ambassador Colm O’Connor highlighted that as Ireland’s No. 1 tourist attraction, preparing the brewery for Dublin’s eight-day festival is a massive undertaking.

The heavy lift of production is worth it, according to O’Connor, who sees the season as a vital time for the community to reconnect. “We have a celebration of Irish music,” he said. “We showcase the best of Irish talent … [and] art installations as well.”

O’Connor noted that this cultural pride isn’t limited to Ireland. In New York, the focus shifts to the iconic parade and local neighborhoods. It’s a sentiment that lasts well beyond the 17th. “But not just on that day or even the week, but I’d say all month,” he shared.

O’Connor went on to say that beyond the parade, he usually likes to celebrate the holiday with those closest to him by meeting up for a few pints of Guinness.

“We normally have some sort of a house party,” he said. “This year, within the city itself, we’ll get representatives from all over the world.”

“Traditionally speaking,” he continued, “[the holiday] used to be more of a holy day.”

He continued, “The parade itself only came into Dublin in the last 90 years, so I suppose it’s a bit of a novelty for my generation.”

When he isn’t enjoying a pint, O’Connor is cooking with it, sharing with The Blast that some of his favorite recipes—including Irish Stew and Chili con Carne—are made with the company’s famous brew.

Guinness Is Continuing To Raise The Bar

Guinness’ St. Patrick’s Day collaborations further highlight how the iconic brewery has kept its name in the spotlight. According to a previous report from The Blast, Guinness recently teamed up with Last Crumb cookies to promote the “Most Wonderful Pint of the Year.”

The two brands joined forces to release six cookies that featured the brand’s iconic brew flavor. Each flavor was chosen to highlight the “iconic stout from rich toffee and nostalgic sticky pudding to playful milkshake, banana cream, peanut butter, and birthday cake.”

“We’ve always believed the best part of the holidays isn’t what’s on the table but who’s around it,” Karissa Downer, Director of Guinness, said. “Partnering with Last Crumb lets us turn that idea into something everyone can share – a pint, a cookie and a holiday celebration that’s full of flavor. Together, we’ve created a new kind of holiday ritual, one that’s all about enjoying something special with your friends and family.”
