Chase Stokes has taken steps into his healing journey, as it seems he is ready to leave that chapter of his life in the past. This comes shortly after he made headlines for raging out on the singer’s first husband, creating social media drama.
Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes had the last straw of their relationship early this year. The pair had broken up and gotten back together two other times in the previous year. They started dating in 2023, about a year after her divorce.

Stokes has increased the number of tattoos he has, and this time, the fresh inks convey messages. His tattoo artist has disclosed the meaning behind one of his latest tats, saying that it is a reflection of the actor’s decision to move on from his partner of three years.
Winterstone, the brains behind the latest pieces, shared that the Netflix star recently came by his tattoo parlor to catch up and get a few tattoos. Out of everything he got, the celebrity tattoo artist could only speak about one, as that is the only one Stokes wants to share publicly.
The piece was a line inspired by a Bible verse in Matthew chapter 7, and was placed just below Stokes’ neck. TMZ says the TV star reportedly chose the phrase “they will judge us by our fruit” to be written across his back as a reminder while he “moves forward” in life.

Winterstone shared that the “Outer Banks” star said that he is feeling good and enlightened about the status of things with Ballerini. The tattoo artist added that although Stokes wanted ti catch up during the appointment, he never brought up the topic of his breakup with the singer for discussion.
The fact that during the entire appointment, Stokes never mentioned his breakup may indicate that he is already leaving the past behind and looking to the scriptures for help to move forward. According to Winterstone, he and the movie star have been friends for years.
Stokes reached out to catch up while adding multiple new pieces to his ink collection. The celebrity tattoo artist also notes that while he shares just one with the world, each tattoo carries a personal meaning to the iconic actor.

Morgan Evans was married to Ballerini from 2017 after dating for a year, till 2022 when they split up. The pair shared no children and soon moved on to other partners after their divorce.
The Blast reports that Evans told Bobby Bones that the divorce came as a shock to him while appearing on an episode of “The BobbyCast” podcast. Speaking further, he expressed that the narrative surrounding his divorce from the songwriter was not tailored in his favor. He was portrayed as the bad guy in the media, and he often felt confused when he saw those narratives being publicized.
Stokes’s now-deleted comment read “This is about the most pathetic excuse of masculinity I’ve ever seen. Get a f-cking life,” and this set ablaze media drama. Bones, the podcast host, made a video replying to the actor’s comment and subtly called him out on his own masculinity. Bones suggested that people who project onto other people might be less masculine or insecure in their own masculinity.

Ballerini and Stokes went hard on declaring their love for each other on social media while announcing they had gotten back together on New Year’s Eve. The songwriter posted a picture of them kissing, indicating that they had rekindled their love less than 40 days after their second breakup.
The duo attended the 2026 Grammys together as a couple, and Ballerini gushed about her love and thriving relationship with the actor to news outlets. She shared that they decided to give their love a third try, emphasizing that she believed in love. She happily shared with reporters:
“I love him so much. We’ve been together for quite a while now and done a lot of life together, and he was with me getting ready today, and he’ll be with me when we wrap. I love love, and I believe it in it.”
