Jesse James‘ estranged wife has found herself in some legal hot water!
Bonnie Rotten was taken into custody over the weekend for reportedly inflicting pain on a close member of a family, over a year after she called off her divorce with the entrepreneur.
Jesse James and his estranged wife tied the knot in June 2022, and filed for divorce twice before that year ended, but pulled out on both occasions and welcomed a child together in June 2023.

Rotten was reportedly arrested in Texas on Saturday, March 14, and booked into the Hays County Jail. According to the jail records, she was booked on a charge of assault, which caused bodily injury.
The nasty encounter reportedly involved a family member, and the arrest was listed as “warrantless/on-view,” which meant that law enforcement agents probably witnessed the incident or had probable cause at the scene.
Rotten’s bond was set at $3k, as TMZ shared that more details around the incident and what truly went down remained unclear at this time. James and Rotten have accused themselves of domestic abuse in the past during the previous divorce filings.

Rotten filed to end the marriage in 2024 and asked for a temporary restraining order. James also responded with his petition alongside a co-parenting program certification on December 5, 2024. The estranged couple reportedly had a hearing on December 13, 2024, but things changed days later when he shared a picture of Bonnie on his Instagram on December 28, declaring that it is “Cheaper to Keep’er, but not by much.”
James also liked a picture from Rotten on December 31, and by January 6, 2025, they both filed a “notice of nonsuit,” expressing their decision to ditch the divorce proceedings, with the court declaring their case as closed.

The entrepreneur filed for a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife in November 2024, asking that the court keep her away from him and their son until a child custody hearing is put in place. He stressed that physical abuse is the reason for his petition, backing it up with multiple instances of Rotten attacking him and attempting to injure his finger before their wedding in June 2022.
James claimed the former adult star became very violent as the days went by in the marriage, even when she was pregnant with their son. James, who was previously married to Sandra Bullock, claimed his estranged wife poked a hole in his neck with her thumbnail.
He added that she also inflicted several injuries on his body after kicking him from behind during a heated argument. The businessman noted that Rotten’s attack did not spare their pets, as she was notorious for frequently hitting the animals, and soon enough, their son began to mimic the abusive behavior with the cats.

The Blast stated that during her divorce filing in 2022, Rotten had accused him of stepping out on her in the marriage while she was carrying their son. She announced that they were expecting their first child together that November and attached a caption of James “busy trying to f-ck other women.”
James, however, denied these allegations in a since-deleted Instagram post where he declared his innocence, claiming that he never cheated on her, and apologized for calling her a slur when they got into a fight.
She then canceled her divorce filing following her estranged husband’s clarification, adding that she loved him, but was hurt by the things she saw when she went through his phone. Rotten revealed that he never said anything inappropriate in those conversations, and merely texted his former lover out of spite during their argument.
