The viral moment began during a conversation in which Jake Paul posed a hypothetical question to Trump. “If you could reincarnate and, like, be able to experience someone else’s life, who would you come back as?” Paul asked.

Trump’s response was short and direct: “Donald Trump, right now.”

The answer quickly began spreading across social media platforms, with users debating the comment and sharing their reactions to the clip.

Social Media Users React Strongly

As the video circulated online, many users took to social media to share their opinions about Trump’s response. Some critics used the moment to question the president’s personality and ego. “He really is the textbook definition of a narcissist,” someone said.

Others responded with humor and sarcasm. “Never thought we’d see the reboot of ‘Jake and the Fatman’, but here we are,” another wrote.

A few users were more blunt in their criticism of the exchange. “It’s like an 8-year-old interviewing a 10-year-old after killing a small animal,” someone said while another commenter wrote, “A man of no character with a massive ego is an extremely dangerous combination.”

The viral interview clip surfaced around the same time Trump made headlines for publicly encouraging Paul to consider a political career.

During a rally in Hebron, Kentucky, the president suggested the social media star could one day run for office. “I’m going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not-too-distant future, running for political office,” Trump said. “You have my complete and total endorsement.”

Paul joined Trump on stage during the event at the president’s invitation.

While addressing the crowd, Paul spoke about the influence he believes Trump has had on him. “What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage. We never back down from a fight, even if they’re much bigger than you, much, much bigger than you,” Paul said.

He also connected the moment to the audience in attendance, telling them, “I feel all the local Kentuckians feel the same way. You guys have that fight. You guys have that swag.”

Paul noted that he grew up just a few hours away from the rally location and said the country needs more thriving manufacturing facilities like the one Trump was visiting. “My dad taught me to fight and all of our voices matter in America,” Paul said. “I’m never afraid to speak the truth.”

Trump, meanwhile, praised Paul while introducing him to the crowd. “His local podcast is big stuff and he’s big stuff,” Trump said. “This guy has guts.”

Jake Paul Shares Rally Moment With Millions Of Followers

Later that evening, Paul posted a video showing him standing alongside the president as the two pumped their fists to the Village People’s hit “Y.M.C.A.” The moment quickly spread across Paul’s massive social media platforms, where he has 19.5 million followers on TikTok and 21 million subscribers on YouTube.

Paul has previously been outspoken about his political views as well. During the 2024 presidential election campaign, the influencer urged his followers to vote for Trump in order to “quite literally save America.” In the video endorsement shared during the election cycle, Paul noted that while he cannot personally vote because he lives in Puerto Rico, he still felt a responsibility to speak to his audience.

He also explained that his goal was to present his millions of followers with “proper facts, numbers, and data” to encourage them to vote “in the proper direction to quite literally save America.”
