Many of Donald Trump‘s actions and remarks have long annoyed Jimmy Kimmel. However, the president’s recent comments about rising gas prices pushed the late-night host to deliver one of his harshest insults yet.
The tension between the TV host and the U.S. leader is nothing new, as the two have repeatedly traded criticisms.
Kimmel has recently attacked Trump’s speech at the State of the Union and even his reaction to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl show.
Jimmy Kimmel Gives Donald Trump The ‘Stupidest President’ Tag
On Thursday, March 12, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” the host did not hold back as he went off on the POTUS, who claimed the higher gas prices were a good thing for the country.
“Gas prices have gone up every day for the past 11 days,” Kimmel pointed out on the episode. “But our president, ‘Ex-con Mobile,’ says there is nothing to worry about.”
Kimmel then read aloud a part of Trump’s Truth Social post where the president argued that the U.S. benefits when oil prices rise because it is the world’s largest oil producer.
Trump also emphasized in the message that his priority as a leader is “stoping [sic] an evil empire, Iran, from having nuclear weapons.”
Kimmel poked fun at the 79-year-old’s misspelling and dropped a heavy tag on him. “That’s right, he’s ‘stoping’ the evil empire,” Kimmel said. “He really is the stupidest president of all time.”
He further challenged the former reality TV host’s statement, saying the only people who profit from the increased prices are Trump and his “buddies,” but ordinary citizens end up paying more.
“He must think we’re as dumb as he is,” Kimmel added, pointing out that the billionaire mogul had promised in his campaign to reduce gas prices to $2 per gallon.
Now, Kimmel argued, Trump is trying to “convince us that higher prices are better,” a move the comedian finds manipulative. He added, “You know, you hear the term gaslighting a lot, but rarely when it comes to actual gas.”
Jimmy Kimmel Recently Brought Up Donald Trump’s Felony Conviction

Kimmel’s latest jab comes just weeks after he reminded viewers about Trump’s criminal convictions.
As The Blast reported, Kimmel’s reminder followed after a broadcast on Fox News about Hillary Clinton testifying before the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, which has been investigating links connected to Jeffrey Epstein.
During the broadcast, the anchor asked Pat Fallon whether compelling a former president to testify before Congress would be unprecedented. Fallon replied that the U.S. had never had a president “close to a felon.”
Kimmel addressed Fallon’s comment during his live show, telling his audience, “We have our current president, who is a convicted felon. 34 times.”
The Late-Night Host Criticized Trump’s SOTU Speech As Being Hostile To Foreigners

The comedian also aimed at the leader’s speech at the State of the Union a few weeks back. According to The Blast, the TV personality blasted the speech’s tone as angry toward immigrants.
“The theme of tonight’s speech was ‘All foreigners are murderers,’” Kimmel said, referencing the former reality TV host’s remark on reducing the number of immigrants.
Kimmel then took a swipe at the billionaire mogul’s hair appearance, comparing his hair to “a cloud on top of a sweet potato” and saying sweat and makeup on his face looked like an “Orange Julius.”
Jimmy Kimmel Accused The Commander-In-Chief Of Focusing On The Wrong Issues

Another of Trump’s statements that has not sat well with Kimmel in recent weeks was his reaction after Bad Bunny’s headline show.
Trump criticized the rapper’s language before writing that the dancing was “disgusting” as children watched it. Kimmel, however, questioned the businessman’s focus, especially while discussions surrounding the released Epstein-related documents continued.
“This is a guy who’s okay with this being the release of the Epstein files,” Kimmel said per The Blast while displaying a heavily redacted page. “He’s offended for the children.”
Trump Once Declared He’s Not President If He Failed to Outperform Kimmel

Kimmel and Trump’s long-standing feud has seen Trump attacking Kimmel’s hosting ability and promising to outperform him when hosting last year’s Kennedy Awards.
Per The Blast, the Republican bragged about being the first leader to take on that role. He added that after watching other hosts, especially Kimmel, he could do better than them.
“Jimmy Kimmel was horrible, and some of these people. If I can’t beat out Jimmy Kimmel in terms of talent, then I don’t think I should be president,” Trump said.
