Rick Harrison's Son Pleads For Help With Hospital Bills Two Years After Brother's Death

Rick Harrison's son, Corey Harrison, has been left with no choice but to ask for help after a recent near-death experience.

The American businessman's son suffered a nasty motorcycle crash in Tulum that left him battling complicated injuries to this day, and the medical debts have even made his situation worse.

Rick Harrison had lost an older son two years ago over a weekend in Las Vegas due to a Fentanyl overdose.

Corey, in his chat with TMZ, claimed that turning to his fans for assistance is his next resolve after exhausting nearly all his funds on treatment and medications since the unfortunate accident in Mexico.

The motorcycle mishap left the TV personality with multiple fractured ribs, a concussion, injuries on the face, and a non-appearance at his father's wedding in January.

Corey explained that he had to check himself out of the hospital prematurely to face the rest of his recovery in his Tulum home due to the mounting medical bills.

Unfortunately, the intervention of a home doctor giving him IVs and morphine treatments did little to stop his pain from coming back and his oxygen levels from dropping. Despite this, Corey revealed that the option of going back to the hospital for more expensive treatments could not be considered.

Ultimately, Corey's friends intervened and decided to transport him to a more affordable hospital in another city, where he underwent three surgeries and spent nearly three weeks in hospitalization.

Corey soon got out of the facility to focus on the rest of his recovery at home, but the $120,000 in medical debts has continued to hover above his head. He stated that he is left with a paltry $400 in his bank account while being indebted to his father and friends who came through for him financially.

The media personality confessed that it took a lot for him to ask for help, and it is currently impossible for him to head to Vegas and sell things because he is currently on a recliner and unable to move. He added that he used to receive residuals from "Pawn Stars," but he has now completely removed from the show.

In January 2024, a publicist from the family shared a statement confirming that the businessman's son, Adam, had passed away. "I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose.

The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders, and nothing is being done about it. We must do better," the statement added.

As noted by The Blast, Rick also reacted to the death of his son, describing it as a saddening occurrence while demanding that the family be given necessary privacy to mourn the loss of their dear son.

He stressed that his son will always be in his heart in a caption attached alongside a family portrait, which earned sympathies from his followers and pals, including President Donald Trump.

Before his death, Adam was reportedly a staff member at the Gold & Silver Pawn before the launch of "Pawn Stars" in 2009. The reality show captured the life of Rick's employees at the Vegas store and how they run the family business of authenticating items and making offers to their sellers.

As soon as the 39-year-old passed on January 19, 2024, The Blast noted that police swung into investigation, and the family also received pouring condolences from all quarters.

Trump's two sons, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, were reportedly among the first callers after learning of his death, speaking to him on the phone to offer their sympathies. 

Alex and the Trump family have enjoyed a longstanding relationship for years, including public support from the business mogul during his presidential campaign for his first term.

Adam was buried at a private ceremony attended by family and close friends. He was one of the businessman's three children whom he shared with his late first wife, Kim.

In September 2020, Corey hopped on Instagram with a repost of a meme calling for the end of wearing masks in the face of COVID-19 in the city. Corey expressed in the post that he has decided to discontinue the usage of masks, whether the government wants it or not.

The online protest came amid a debate in Nevada that the government's enforcement of a compulsory mask-up rule in public spaces was greatly affecting the tourism industry in Sin City.

Several business and nightlife facilities were forced to shut down during the pandemic, which ravaged Vegas and its environs, further causing a blow to its economy.

While Corey eventually deleted the post, sources shared that he was beyond willing to follow through with the protest, which came weeks after he promised to give away free bottles of hand sanitizers to anyone who emailed him.
