A new theory has emerged in the mysterious disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, suggesting investigators might be able to narrow down on her location by tracking her hearing aids.

The idea was raised by true crime host Nancy Grace while speaking with digital forensic expert Heather Barnhart on her show, “Crime Stories with Nancy Grace.”

More than a month since Guthrie went missing on February 1, but authorities have yet to uncover any major breakthroughs in the search for her.

The case has continued to attract international attention, with even unconfirmed reports circulating about a possible sighting of Guthrie in Mexico.

During her YouTube interview on “Crime Stories with Nancy Grace,” Barnhart explained that modern hearing aids communicate with the phone much like other wireless audio devices.

“Think of modern hearing aids as you would AirPods or headphones,” she said. “Her phone will track everything associated to those hearing aids because they pair through Bluetooth.”

According to Barnhart, if the hearing aids were paired to Guthrie’s smartphone, investigators may be able to see where they were last connected.

The host also emphasized why a possible second pair of hearing aids could matter to investigators.

“The reason I care so much about these hearing aids, assuming she was wearing her second pair, even if the battery’s gone dead now, it could show me her last known location,” Grace explained.

Grace also questioned Barnhart about the possibility that the abductors may have used signal-jamming technology to make the vehicle used in the crime virtually untraceable.

“Could a jammer be used to create a vanishing car?” Grace posed. “A car that you can see, but you can’t track it.”

Barnhart responded in the affirmative, confirming that such devices could indeed be used to disrupt tracking technologies.

“They actually can,” she said. “They’ll block cellular, Wi-Fi, and GPS from all technologies, including cars.”

In such a scenario, the interference could also disable common home security devices that rely on wireless connections.

“Anything within that radius will not be able to make calls,” Barnhart continued. “This includes your Nest cameras and Ring cameras.”

In the same episode, Barnhart also interviewed a security expert who presented an alleged eyewitness report claiming that Guthrie was spotted in Mexico with individuals believed to be her abductors.

“We have an eyewitness claiming that they saw Nancy Guthrie south of the border with the alleged kidnappers,” the consultant said. “They’re very serious about knowing it was Nancy.”

According to the reporting, the individual who claimed to have seen Guthrie requested payment before revealing further information about her location.

“This person wants one bitcoin, which is worth just south of $70,000,” he said.

As the investigation into Guthrie’s disappearance continues, Whoopi Goldberg has come under fire for comments she made about the case on the daytime talk show “The View.”

During a recent episode, Goldberg suggested that Donald Trump’s military offensive in Iran could be intended to divert attention from other controversies, including Guthrie’s mysterious disappearance.

“This is meant to get us so worked up that we are unable to see anything else,” Goldberg said. “Why haven’t we been talking about Savannah Guthrie and what’s going on there? Why have we not been talking about the Epstein files? Because that’s still there.”

Members of the Guthrie family have found themselves overwhelmed in the aftermath of Nancy’s disappearance.

“Today Show” co-host Savannah Guthrie is, for instance, rumored to be “devastated” by the state of her mother’s house since she vanished, with content creators reportedly having “taken over” the property.

At the same time, online commentators began circulating theories suggesting Savannah’s sister, Annie, might somehow be connected to the crime.

Much of the speculation surrounding Annie appears to have been triggered by reports that one of the family’s vehicles was seized and examined by investigators.

The accusations remain entirely unproven and speculative, but they have become a significant part of the online discourse surrounding the case.
