Jenelle Evans is not mincing words as she goes off on her mom and sister on social media.
The reality TV star recently blasted her family online after reports of her eldest son acting out made headlines. Jace allegedly pulled out a gun on his grandmother, Barbara Evans, and even threatened to take his own life in the process.
Jenelle Evans has had a tumultuous relationship with her mother over the years. She also previously blamed Barbara’s parenting for the way her son turned out, citing the negative effect it also had on her growing up.
Jenelle Evans Did Not Spare Her Family In Her Scathing Social Posts
Jenelle did not hold back as she called out her mom and sister after the reports of her teenage son pulling a gun on his grandmother made headlines. The TV star sent out a series of posts on X, hurling words that echoed that their rocky relationship had surfaced once more.
“Whoever thought the enemy is my own mother, sad AF [sad face emoji]” she wrote in the first tweet before adding “And to think the empathy I had for her all these months because of her health [disappointed face emoji].”
Jenelle’s next post was directed to her sister, Ashleigh Evans, where she claimed she has a medical issue and people should not believe what Ashleigh says. My bi-polar schizophrenic sister is another evil one that doesn’t have custody of her son [see-no-evil monkey emoji], take what she says with a grain of salt. [waving hand emoji] Kthx, bye.”
While fans thought that was the last tweet in the series of messages, the TV star sent one more, almost thirty minutes later, which read, “Imagine you being the toxic one, cut you off to protect myself and my kids, then all hell breaks loose. That seems to be the common theme amongst everyone lately in my life.”

Jenelle’s messages online ignited a whirlwind of clapbacks from her commenters. Many took to her mom’s defense, claiming that she did a better job parenting Jace. Another commenter called the MTV alum out for acting the victim. An observer clapped back under Jenelle’s last tweet. They wrote:

Jenelle Evans’ Teenage Son Has Allegedly Been Exposed To Drugs
The whole fiasco drew attention after word spread that 16-year-old Jace had pulled out a gun on his grandmother late last month. The news outlets claimed that the teenager was under the influence of drugs and alcohol when the incident occurred. Early reports revealed that police responded to Barbara’s home, where Jace had been living in North Carolina.
The 911 call made on February 22 was allegedly to report a “troubled teen disturbance. Jace not only threatened to harm his grandmother but also himself during the incident. He allegedly put a gun to his own head and threatened to kill himself. US Weekly reports that Ashleigh addressed the alleged incident on her own social media, insisting that the allegations were false, adding that her sister was probably the one behind pushing the false narrative.
“My nephew did not pull a firearm out on [his] grandmother or himself. That is a lie,” None of that [is] true… who[ever] keeps fabricating these lies is a sick person.” She then continued, writing, “The police also never found a gun in my mother’s house. That is a straight-up lie. [It’s] most likely my sister selling the story because she’s angry. She’s losing control.”
The Reality Star’s Son Is Reportedly In A Mental Facility
Following the news of the incident, Entertainment Weekly shared that Jace is in a mental health facility. Jenelle’s representative told the outlet that she is still trying to find the best place for her son to meet his needs. Jenelle lives in Las Vegas currently and is a full-time mom to her other two kids.
Her second son, Kaiser, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith, and her daughter Ensley, whom she welcomed during her marriage to now ex-husband David Eason. A different outlet shared that the “Teen Mom” alum was preparing to pay Jace a visit at the facility, revealing their request for family privacy.
“At this time, we respectfully ask for privacy for the family and Jenelle Evans. This is a personal matter, and space and understanding are appreciated as they focus on their well-being and time together. Thank you for respecting their privacy during this time,” her rep noted.
Jenelle Evans Believes Her Mom Contributed To Her Son’s Behavior
Jenelle lost custody of Jace to her mother due to some personal issues shortly after his birth. He lived with Barbara until March 2023, when the MTV star was granted full custody of her son once again. The Blast previously shared that Jenelle gave fans a piece of her mind concerning what she believes fueled her son’s behavior, leading to their fractured relationship.
She answered questions from fans on her Instagram stories last year, where she stated that she hopes Jace would change his ways. A fan asked if she felt her relationship with her eldest son was history repeating itself, referring to her tumultuous relationship with her mom.
