Shia LaBeouf has been involved in several controversies since he relocated from Los Angeles to New Orleans, including an alleged drunken brawl at a bar and multiple run-ins with the law.
Now, sources have raised an alarm, labeling him a "master manipulator," while others claim he faces a "tragic ending" if he does not treat his drinking issues.
A New Orleans judge also called Shia LaBeouf out for not taking "his alcohol addiction seriously," although he continues to insist he doesn't need rehab and is not an addict.
Shia LaBeouf Dubbed A 'Master Manipulator'

LaBeouf's behavior over the past month has continued to raise eyebrows among people who seem to know him well, with some of them suggesting he's treading a dangerous path.
The "Transformers" actor was recently arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts of simple battery after he got in an alleged drunken fight with two individuals at a New Orleans bar, and allegedly hurled homophobic slurs at them.
He was then ordered to attend rehab, undergo a drug testing program, and pay a $100,000 bond as conditions for his release. However, reports claim the actor will remain unrepentant as a source told Page Sixthat LaBeouf is a "master manipulator" who is "very adept at playing the role of a good guy in recovery trying to be a better self."
LaBeouf has been accused of subjecting his former partners, including singer FKA Twigs, his estranged wife Mia Goth, and stylist Karolyn Pho, to toxic and abusive behavior, leaving a source wondering how he keeps getting a second chance.
"He's just so good at convincing people and potential partners; they all fall for it," the source said. "He's so convincing when he says, 'I've been in recovery, I'm making amends, I'm flawed — I had this terrible childhood and this terrible past.'"
Insider Warns The Actor Needs To Fix Up Or 'Die'

Other associates reportedly close to LaBeouf have called into question the efficacy of his penalty, which they dubbed "celebrity punishment."
They noted how the 39-year-old actor can simply check in to an online service.
"This guy has got to find a way to get sober or die; eventually, this is all going to a tragic ending," another source who knows him told the news outlet.
"His behavior sounds like an addict," they added, "It's just sad that someone with so much to live for continually puts himself at risk."
Shia LaBeouf Thinks His Issue Has To Do With 'Anger And Ego,' Not Alcohol

Although LaBeouf has been to rehab several times in the past for his alcohol addiction, he seemingly maintains that his drinking isn't the issue and doesn't think he needs the intervention.
In a recent interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan, he weighed in on his bar fight that led to his initial arrest and admitted that he "messed up."
"It's not nice to hurt people ever. It's f-cking lame. People got hurt. I got to deal with that. I'mma deal with that in full. I'll eat it all," he said. "It was on me. It's not on them. It's on me. I messed up."
When asked if he took responsibility for his actions, he replied, "Definitely. Yeah. 1,000 percent," before noting that he believes he has a "small man complex," and that thinks the whole thing "has to do with anger and ego more so than my drinking."
Early on in the interview, he said, "I'll be honest with you, big gay people are scary to me. I'm standing by myself, and three gay dudes are next to me, touching my leg. I get scared. I'm sorry if that's homophobic. Then I'm that."
The Actor Was Accused Of Exhibiting Manipulative Tendencies In His Relationships

Many of the women in his life, particularly Goth, with whom he shares daughter Isabella, have expressed concerns for him to get help.
His former partner, Twigs, only chose to take legal action for his alleged assault when he refused to get help, as she didn't want other women to experience what she did.
Amid his tumultuous time, LaBeouf moved out of his shared L.A. home with Goth and bought a house in New Orleans in hopes of a fresh start. However, it appears the same issue has continued to trail him.
According to Page Six, insiders accused him of several manipulative patterns in his relationship, noting that he particularly likes "love bombing" his girlfriends and would often "isolate them from their friends, and create fights if they look at another guy."
"There are patterns, people think there's no playbook, when there actually is," a source claimed.
Shia LaBeouf Was Slammed By A Judge For Seemingly Not Taking His 'Alcohol Addiction Seriously'

Following LaBeouf's run-in with the law, Orleans Parish Criminal Court Judge Simone Levine told him it didn't seem like he was taking "his alcohol addiction seriously" and doubted he could "handle his alcohol."
"This court does not believe he understands the level of seriousness when it comes to these allegations," Levine said, adding that LaBeouf's actions were a cause of concern regarding "the safety of this larger community, especially relative to a marginalized [LBGTQ+] community that has gone through so much terror."
He'll return to court on March 19.
