Paris Jackson Had A Little Help From Macaulay Culkin Landing Role In 'American Horror Stories'

It’s no secret that the late king of pop Michael Jackson and Macaulay Culkin were very close friends. So much so that Jackson chose Macauly as the godfather to his children. In the absence of Michael, Macaulay has stepped into his shoes in a sense. Being a bit of a father figure to Paris Jackson. It was the late singer’s daughter who revealed Culkin had a lot to do with her getting cast in American Horror Stories. This isn’t necessarily a story about nepotism. Although, Macaulay probably did put a good word in about Paris to the producers of the show! 

In a recent interview with E! News Jackson talked about some of the tips and tricks of the trade that she got from Macaulay before her audition. This is how Culkin told her to play the roles,

"He said overdo it at certain points, kind of like, overact and kind of make it theatrical."

Paris didn’t necessarily say whether or not Culkin gave her an example of what he was talking about. We can only imagine though that as he was saying this he broke out into his iconic Home Alone face!

Another thing that Paris Jackson revealed in the interview is that there’s apparently a very strict NDA that actors have to sign to be on American Horror Stories. She essentially led off with that comment to warn the interviewer that she couldn’t dive into a lot of details. However, she did mention that both hers and Culkin’s characters are going to be covered in blood at some point during the season. 

“I sent him a picture of my face covered in blood and then he sent me a picture of blood in his hair, it was cute” 

While talking about the strict NDA Paris hinted at the fact that she does tell Culkin some of the things that happen on set. Although the two are part of the American Horror Story franchise they are filming different shows. When Paris feels that urge to break the clauses on her NDA she calls up Macaulay. After all, he’s part of the show’s extended family. By the way, we mentioned this wasn’t a story about nepotism, but Macaulay’s got everyone in the family cashing checks from Hulu!  

It seems that Macaulay very much stepped into the role of surrogate father or at least “cool uncle” to the Jackson children after Michael passed away. This April though he became a father for the first time. He’s going to have no problem covering his expenses though! Both he and his partner Brenda Song are under contract with Hulu.  

Song, is ironically a very well-known child actor in her own right. She currently stars in the comedy series Dollface that streams on the service.
