Sarah Ferguson is doing everything she can to keep a low profile amid the Jeffrey Epstein files scandal.
The former Duchess of York has tried her best to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible for months, especially after the recently released files show that her relationship, as well as that of her ex-husband, with the convicted sex offender is more than meets the eye.
Sarah Ferguson has been affected by the recent drama in several ways: the plethora of effects that roll over the former royal range from mental and emotional to financial. Blows from all sides have hit, affecting her planned endeavors and forcing her to maintain a low profile while the Epstein issue continues to escalate.
Sarah Ferguson Whereabouts Have Been Revealed

Ferguson has left the public curious about her living situation for a while now, but the speculations have now been put to rest. It has been confirmed that the former Duchess of York has checked herself into the world's most expensive wellness clinic amid the scandal that ensued as her relationship with Epstein came to light.
She reportedly left the U.K. shortly after the details from the files became public knowledge and has not been sighted publicly since attending her granddaughter Athena's christening at St James's Palace on December 12.
Her noticeable absence raised questions about where she has been staying for the past months, and now, The Daily Mail has confirmed that for much of the time, she has been sheltering in a famous Swiss clinic.
For over a month, according to the reports, Ferguson has made the world-renowned $17,500-a-night Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, her abode. She feels at home there and rests assured that she will get the attention, love, and health treatment she needs at her most vulnerable moments.
The housing fees paid at the clinic not only cover food and board but also offer several different month-long recovery programs for top-of-the-shelf wealthy clients. Clients also have access to 15 medical experts, a chauffeur, and a private chef.
What Did The Epstein Files Reveal That Concerns The Former Duchess?

The United States' Justice Department released multiple documents, and the parts connecting Ferguson and her ex-husband to the late pedophile have been gut-wrenching. The email exchange between the two parties shed light on the nature of the relationship that existed between them.
They showed that the ex-royals kept their communication with Epstein even after he was first convicted of procuring a minor for prostitution. In one of the conversations, she referred to the pedophile as being similar to a sibling she always wished for.
Another email showed Ferguson begging Epstein to help pay off her mounting debts, even asking him to employ her as his house assistant, as she "desperately" needed cash; despite knowing he was still under house arrest in Florida for child prostitution.
A separate email revealed that she wrote to the convicted sex offender apologizing for denouncing him publicly. There, she claimed that she only did it to protect her career as a children's author, noting that he had been a "steadfast, generous and supreme friend."
One of the most jaw-dropping parts of the files showed that she had taken her daughters, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, to have lunch with Epstein five days after his release.
The Scandal Left The Mother-Of-Two Shaken

Ex-prince Andrew was recently taken into custody, where he spent his 66th birthday in the hands of the authorities amid new information shared by the released files. His ex-wife is reportedly not handling the situation smoothly as her mental health has reportedly taken a toll.
An insider revealed that Ferguson had shared that she was really suffering with her mental health, telling her friends that she thinks "everyone is out to get her."
The dramatic arrest of Andrew was the cherry on top of her deep struggles with the situation. Not only is her mental health and emotional demeanor affected, but The Blast also reported that her financial situation is not doing any better.
Her business has been greatly affected, and she is currently looking for other means of income generation. The files also revealed that Epstein had been supporting the author for years, notably beyond the £15,000 she had previously admitted receiving.
Ferguson's World Is Crumbling Before Her Eyes

Ferguson has since experienced a trail of mishaps with her career after her connections with the disgraced financier were revealed. She was removed as a patron of Julia's House Children's Hospice, and months later, the charity organization was shut down.
The organization announced that it was closing for the foreseeable future, stating that the decision to close down was not abrupt but had been in the works for a while.
Her children's book, "Flora and Fern: Kindness Along the Way," which was originally scheduled for release on October 9 last year, was first postponed to November 20, and then was ultimately pulled before reaching the market.
The Blast also shared that the actress who portrayed the former Duchess in "The Lady," a film centered on Ferguson's life, refused to promote the project.
Natalie Dormer stated that she was washing her hands of the publicity because she could not "reconcile her values" with the author's behavior, tagging it "inexcusable."
Sarah Ferguson Also Faced Challenges In-House

Not only did her standing in the industry and her career get affected by the recent scandal, but her family also has been affected. Her daughters are reportedly deeply unsettled by the emails and embarrassed because of the relationship their parents fostered with the late pedophile.
"They are aghast at what they have read; they are mortified by the emails their mother has sent to Epstein. It is so embarrassing for them," an insider previously noted. Another report shared that the Princesses are keeping their distance from their parents' misconduct.
Ferguson's relationship with her ex-husband has also been affected. According to royal experts, the mom of two is regretting that she stood by Andrew all these years and plans to distance herself from him.
As reported by The Blast, while they shared the Royal Lodge, the 30-room Window estate, before Andrew was stripped of his titles and banished from the home, they stayed on separate wings of the estate and only crossed paths when it was highly necessary.
