Jada Pinkett Smith is not willing to go to court for claims she believes are “false” and “uncorroborated.”

The actress was sued by one Bilaal Salaam, who alleged that she threatened to harm him after he allegedly claimed to have seen Will Smith engaged in a sexual act.

However, she has now filed for a motion to dismiss the case, alleging that Salaam’s claims are based on lies.

In a new development regarding Salaam's Lawsuit, the 54-year-old actress has requested that the court dismiss claims alleging that she was “verbally abusive” towards him.

People Magazine confirmed that in Jada’s motion, she alleged that Salaam’s claims were in conflict with the state’s “California's anti-SLAPP statute,” which “provides a procedure for weeding out, at an early stage, meritless claims arising from protected activity.”

The motion continued, “Plaintiff voluntarily gave media interviews claiming – without evidence – that he personally witnessed her husband, actor Will Smith, engaging in sexual acts. Plaintiff’s allegations were false, uncorroborated, and made to generate attention as part of an ongoing public campaign of harassment directed at Defendant and her family.”

Jada’s motion to dismiss was filed over two months after Salaam alleged that she had verbally attacked him during Smith’s birthday party in 2021.

The Blast reported that, according to Salaam, Jada approached him in the lobby of Regency Calabasas Common and warned him to stop telling lies about her.

Salaam alleged that Jada became “verbally aggressive” and told him that if he continued talking about her personal business, he would “end up missing or catch a bullet.”

He also claimed that someone from Jada’s entourage continued to threaten him while he made his way to his car.

Amid the legal drama, Jada and Will mostly stayed away from the public eye until they made an appearance at Paris Fashion Week in January 2026.

According to The Blast, the duo showed up to support their son, Jaden, during the unveiling of his collection for Christian Louboutin. They stopped to take a photograph outside the runway show, both rocking coordinated, matching monochromatic outfits.

Will wore a black shirt and a black and white tweed jacket, while Jada opted for leather pants and black open-toed shoes.

The two looked proud of their son’s achievements as they smiled for the cameras. Spectators and photographers further noted that they appeared to be in good spirits during the event.

Will and Jada’s public outings raised some public scrutiny, as the two have reportedly been going through marital challenges.

Last year, a close source, as reported by The Blast, confirmed that the couple no longer lives together. However, they are reportedly still involved with each other despite living apart.

“Call it what you want. They are still living their own lives but haven’t completely severed ties,” the source said. Meanwhile, another source also noted that the actor is keeping himself busy with music and film and is “doing okay.”

Notably, this came years after Jada opened up about the state of her marriage to Will, sharing that they have been living separate lives but haven’t officially gotten a divorce.

She noted that they didn’t want to get an official divorce because they still love the family they built together.

The "Girls Trip" actress also referred to their relationship as a life partnership and expressed fondness for Will, saying that she will always love him.
