The Los Angeles mayoral race will be held on November 3, 2026. According to BallotPedia, Pratt is up against Austin Beutner, Rae Chen Huang, and incumbent mayor Karen Bass.

Despite Bass' years of experience, Pratt doesn't seem worried about competing against her, claiming the politician could likely end up behind bars due to her "obstruct[ing] justice" by allegedly altering the Los Angeles Fire Department after-action report.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Bass wanted key findings about LAFD's actions during the deadly Palisades Fires to be omitted or softened before they were made public. Bass' office denied the claims, however, according to Fox 11, saying, "She and her staff made no changes to the drafts."

"Everything I’ve ever owned was just, you could walk into my room and it was exactly like when I went off to college. And so everything I had in that life, and then my life as an adult, everything burned," he recalled. "I don’t have anything that wasn’t when the cloud started…my parents didn’t get one item out of the house, my mom didn’t even get her passports…the idea of my parents’ house burning at the bottom of the Palisades next to the ocean is impossible to believe."
