The early 90s weren’t that kind to Jamie Foxx, at least not from what Sherri Shepherd remembers. The former co-host of The View joined PEOPLE’s In the 90’s podcast. For whatever reason, she decided to use the platform to reflect on the rough time the start of the decade was for Jamie Foxx. One thing led to another and 30 years later Foxx still allegedly owes her $50!

Sherri recalls that she saw Foxx in what she kind of remembers might have been the last casting call for “In Living Color”. Yes, the details on the story are kind of sketchy, so you’re going to have to take Shepherds’ word for it. She mentions that Jamie didn’t have any money, and that she gave him 50 dollars partly so that he could get a haircut. She said,
“He might deny it to this day. He might act like he don’t. Oh, he might have little memory blasts, but, yes, he does owe me $50,”

If Shepherd’s story is correct this is right about the time that she lent him $50. Hopefully, this story reaches Foxx so that he can pay her back.
