Ray J's Estranged Wife Lets Him Off The Hook Amid Living Countdown

Ray J's estranged wife, Princess Love, gives him a second chance at bonding with the kids following his scary health issues revelation.

The sight from the court between the estranged duo seemed very cordial after a judge relaxed the rules surrounding the protective order secured against him by his former partner.

Ray J had shared with the public that his heart is failing and he might not have much time left to live as he coasts his way through multiple medications to stay alive.

The actor and Love were spotted outside the San Fernando courthouse in Los Angeles on Friday, where the judge reportedly agreed to modify the protective order that kept him from contacting Love and their two kids.

According to the actor's lawyer, "the restraining order was modified to allow Ray J to have unlimited contact with his children and wife." Sources shared that Love and Ray's mom, Sonja Norwood, each testified in the courtroom, and Love admitted that the kids miss their father.

She revealed that they have been worried about his health issues, and they would like to spend time with him. Most importantly, Love informed the judge that Ray poses no danger to the kids.

As reported by Page Six, Love filed for divorce from Ray for the fourth time in 2024, and she appeared pretty supportive of him during their latest sighting in court.

Last year, Love broke her silence on the dysfunctional co-parenting relationship between herself and the actor. According to her, the chaotic connection she shared with the rapper had become exhausting due to his unwarranted behaviors, which might push her to file for sole custody of the kids.

The Blast shared that Love had expressed her uncertainty and concerns about leaving the kids around a man who allegedly abuses women and also waves a gun around in their presence.

The 41-year-old referred to the incident where the singer pulled a gun on her cousin and her husband despite coming to him without any confrontation.

She also revealed how she wanted the kids to spend Thanksgiving at their father's home, but she was concerned about their safety because the last time they were alone with him, he was naked in bed with another woman.

The actor tried to explain his side of the story, emphasizing that he was not wielding a weapon with violence in mind. He explained that he was only trying to protect his space when he saw a man he dislikes entering his home to pick up his kids.

Ray explained that his instincts sensed danger, and he had to pull out a gun to diffuse the situation. The singer added that he was shocked the authorities failed to see his point of view and had him arrested for protecting his home.

Ray was arrested for making a criminal threat when the cops arrived at his home around 4 a.m. and was placed on a $50,000 bond. The singer was seen getting very agitated on the live stream, accusing someone of trespassing on his property, and promising to shoot if they refused to leave.

Ray shared in an interview a few days ago that the doctors claimed he had to survive on a list of drugs to at least extend his life, as he reportedly does not have much time left.

As reported by The Blast, Ray revealed the list of drugs, which included cholesterol medication Lipitor, Jardiance, and Entresto, drugs typically prescribed for people at high risk of heart failure.

He added that the doctors also advised that he prepare his mind for the possibility of surviving on a pacemaker or a defibrillator while staying away from drinking or smoking till his next appointment, where his fate would be decided.

The singer revealed that since learning of his diagnosis, it became vital for him to review his way of life and, most importantly, reunite with his children. Ray noted that Haiti could hold some key to his healing, as research has shown him that he should consider the island for a permanent solution to his problems.

In a social media update before the interview, Ray told his fans that his heart was beating at only 25%, adding that he had some regret about his past lifestyle choices.

The 45-year-old's confession video was received by internet users who tagged his move as a ploy to get sympathy and tantrums from someone still under the influence of drugs. 

Some online spectators are claiming it was a cry for help from the actor and a ploy for attention after he lost access to his children due to the gun incident. Another internet user slammed him for chasing clout with Haiti and advised him to seek real healing, consult a holistic doctor, and reconnect with God. 

Aside from his connection to his elder sister, Brandy Norwood, Ray got internet famous for his high-profile personal life, especially his 2007 sex tape with internet sensation Kim Kardashian.

He has since ventured into several reality TV series, including "Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood," where he appeared alongside Love.
