Karen Huger Speaks After Prison Release In ‘RHOP’ Finale First Look

Karen Huger’s release from prison late last year was immediately captured by Bravo cameras just in time for the footage to be included as the 10th season finale of “Real Housewives of Potomac,” and a first look at her initial moments back home has dropped.
The penultimate episode of ‘RHOP’ recently aired on Sunday, January 25, but it was the teaser for the show’s season finale that had fans perking up, as the franchise’s Grand Dame was shown returning home from prison and ready to tell all to Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen in an exclusive interview.
Karen Has Emotional Reunion With Her Family As She Returns Home

Following her 6-month prison stint as a result of being found guilty of DWI (her fourth offense), Bravo cameras were right outside as Huger was granted an early release and left custody in September 2025.
In the exclusive clip from the ‘RHOP’ season finale, Huger is greeted with a warm welcome from her family, including long-time husband Ray Huger and daughter Rayvin.
Stepping into her home, which was decorated for her arrival, for the first time, Huger and her daughter have an emotional reunion and share a loving embrace. ”I just wanted to get home to see you guys,” she told her family, which also included her sister Bridget, who was present for the reunion.
Huger then told Rayvin that her support during her jail time was crucial to her being able to complete her sentence.
"And I want to say something to you. I couldn't have done it. I couldn't have done it without you,” she told her daughter. “I love the woman that you've become. I never intended for you to see me like that, but I'm glad you did. Because there's a truth and a strength in that."
Huger also shared that she was able to use her time in prison to act as a sounding board and a sense of support for the young women who were imprisoned alongside her.
"I got my hands on them. I was able to reach a few of them,” she recalled. “I was like, 'It took me six decades to get here. Why are you here at 20?' So I found a purpose. I found a purpose and I'm happy with it. I'll talk to you about that later."
Karen Has A Confirmed ‘Brutal’ Showdown With Wendy Osefo At The ‘RHOP’ Reunion

During her recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” cast member Stacey Rusch revealed that despite Huger’s happiness to be home, that didn’t stop her from verbally sparring with Osefo.
When Cohen presented her with a fan question of who Huger was the least excited to see at the reunion, Rusch promptly responded that it was Osefo, an encounter that she described as “brutal.” Cohen also quickly co-signed her recollection of what went down between the two, adding that “it was a lot.”
‘RHOP’ fans will recall that at the season 9 reunion last year, Huger taped a special video message for her castmates and thanked them as she was awaiting sentencing, but she notably left Osefo’s name out of her message.
The bad blood has clearly lingered between them, and now fans will get to see just how bad things got between them at the reunion that was taped earlier this month.
Wendy Has Her Own Serious Legal Issues To Deal With

A few weeks after ‘RHOP’ began airing its 10th season, news of Osefo and her husband Eddie’s arrest on multiple felony fraud charges sent shockwaves throughout the franchise. In October 2025, the couple was arrested in Maryland with a combined total of 33 counts of fraud.
Wendy was hit with 15 charges, while Eddie has 18 charges of his own. The charges were brought about following an extensive investigation by authorities after the Osefos reported a burglary that authorities say was a fraudulent attempt to file false insurance claims. If convicted, they could face 25 years in prison.
While attending BravoCon the following month, which many were surprised to see she attended, Wendy addressed her legal troubles to fans.
"I read your messages. I can’t respond to everyone, but your love and support means the world to me," Wendy said at the time. "You know, it’s an unfortunate situation, and right now I can’t say too much, but I will say when the time is right, I will share my story with everyone, and for now they’re just allegations, so we will continue to push forward."
Karen Returns To A Different Dynamic On ‘RHOP’

In her absence, things among the ‘RHOP’ ladies have changed, as new cast members have been added and new alliances have been formed. When Huger was last on the show, newbies Angel Massie and Tia Glover, and former full-time cast member Monique Samuels, were not there.
Additionally, the white flag truce between Gizelle Bryant and Osefo was not nearly as evident as it is now. Then there is the dynamic between Rusch and most of the ladies, as she has been consistently accused of lying all season.
There was also the return of Huger’s arch nemesis, Charisse Jackson, who found herself in the middle of a major storyline involving Ashley Darby and her son.
It will be interesting to see how Huger will approach things with the cast for season 11, as her strongest relationship is with Bryant, with whom she has been friends (and sometimes frenemies) for over a decade.
Season 11 Of ‘RHOP’ Begins Filming Soon

Now that the reunion is filmed and set to air in a few weeks, and Bryant is almost done filming the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: 20th Anniversary,” cameras for the 11th season of the show should be back up soon.
Osefo’s case will likely be a major focus of the season, as her legal issues will be unfolding in real time. Huger’s return to Potomac will also be a big storyline, as she navigates being back amongst the ladies. ‘RHOP’ generally airs in the fall, so expect it to return then.
