Alexis Wilkins is pushing back against rising online criticism of her relationship with FBI Director Kash Patel.
The upcoming country music star is addressing what she says are misleading narratives and assumptions that have followed her into the public spotlight.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Wilkins opened up about the backlash she has faced since her relationship became the subject of widespread reporting. "I think it's sad that people have figured out that they can try to use me to get to him," she said.

As a musician whose national profile is growing by the day, Wilkins has likely become accustomed to life in the public eye.
However, the attention that has come with being the girlfriend of the FBI director has gone beyond ordinary public interest, at least according to the Boston-born musician.
Her Vanity Fair quote about people using her to get to Patel was a reference to a post she had previously shared on X, directed at New York Times reporter Elizabeth Williamson.
In the post, Wilkins presented an example of what she views as inappropriate attention. She wrote, "I would suggest revisiting your own NYT ethics guidelines — the part about not 'inquiring pointlessly into someone's personal life.'"
Wilkins Also Denied That She Is A Mossad Agent

Another aspect of the online and media scrutiny that Wilkins is taking issue with involves conspiracy theories about her relationship with Patel, which the Vanity Fair feature describes as "nefarious."
Chief among these is the suggestion that she is a Mossad agent being used to exert influence from within the FBI. She categorically denies this accusation.
"I've never been to Israel," Wilkins says, rejecting the claim outright. "There's not a stamp in my passport."
The singer also expressed concern about how quickly the false theory spread online. "That [Mossad] theory was more widespread than I was comfortable with it being because that's insane," Wilkins explained. "How are this many people thinking this is true?"
Alexis Wilkins Has Also Been Subject To Death Threats

Beyond the wild conspiracy theories and online speculation, Wilkins revealed that she has also faced repeated threats against her life since she and Patel started dating in January 2023.
Wilkins used a unique example to illustrate just how common these have become.
"We had a beautiful Christmas with family, which was wonderful and normal and good to make some normal, great family memories," she said. "Then someone got arrested for threatening to execute me."
Wilkins made it clear that this side of proximity to power is not something she can ever grow accustomed to. "There's no point at which you get used to that or that it feels good," she said. "It's scary."
The Singer Was Assigned An FBI Security Detail Following The Concerns

Following the series of said threats against Wilkins, she was assigned a protective security detail by the FBI.
The decision was reported by MS NOW in November 2025, citing a statement from the bureau explaining the move.
"Ms. Wilkins is receiving a protective detail because she has faced hundreds of credible death threats related to her relationship with Director Patel, whom she has been dating for three years," the statement read. "Out of respect for her safety, we will not be providing additional details."
Wilkins acknowledged that this level of protection is unusual. She told Vanity Fair, "I'm not doing a job that warrants it. It was determined—outside of Kash and I—that that was necessary."

Wilkins is clearly not shying away from the scrutiny surrounding her relationship with Patel, even as she pushes back against coverage she believes has gone too far.
Speaking in the Vanity Fair interview, the occasional actress said she is willing to endure the attention because she has very little to hide anyway. "I don't have any skeletons in my closet," she said.
What troubles her more is the way some accusations frame the relationship itself. In a previous interview with Megyn Kelly, Wilkins said, "The fact that it's accusing me of manipulating the person that I'm with, that I love… That's a horrible accusation."
