In her conversation with Us Weekly, Gay insisted she "never" cared about the number on the scale, noting it's the "least important thing" in her life.
Despite that, Gay—who said she lost nearly 30 pounds using Ozempic in September 2025—said that she plans on continuing to use the drug. "I think that’s part of my daily routine as much as I have, you know, nutritional choices to support it," she said, adding, "This is working for me, and I'm just grateful to be here."
Heather Gay Was Called Out After Confessing To Using Ozempic To Shed Pounds
In 2024, Gay, who first rose to fame as an OG cast member of "RHOSLC," revealed that she'd received hateful messages from fans who labeled her a sellout after she confessed to using Ozempic to achieve a slimmer profile.
"I've given up the banner of relatable, accept yourself, love yourself," she said. "It's disappointing and sad to know that body positivity was all a big lie, because it's better to not be overweight."
Gay explained that she'd been subjected to hearing horrible things about herself since being on TV. "I've been called horrible things in private and public by my costars and by the general public," she said, noting she felt "pressure" to use Ozempic to look like everybody else.
The TV personality even said that part of the reason she gave in to using Ozempic was because of the people around her. "I didn't want to show up at another party and see all of my friends 20 pounds thinner and just be resentful," she said.
Heather Gay Isn't The Only Celebrity Using Ozempic For Weight Loss

Gay isn't the only Bravolebrity using Ozempic for weight loss, as the reality star's boss, Andy Cohen, confessed to using the drug in September 2025. On his radio show, the "Real Housewives" EP said he'd been "microdosing" the drug after noticing he'd slowly gained weight.
While spending time on the set of his late-night show, "Watch What Happens Live," Cohen said he was surrounded by unhealthy food and drinks that eventually spiraled out of control. However, thanks to Ozempic, Cohen said that his cravings have been curbed and he's been more disciplined with his diet.
“It really helped me with cravings, which I was having a very hard time with, and really forcing myself to be more disciplined with my diet and with working out. I am on a pretty rigorous health journey," he said.
Why Did Cohen Open Up About Using Ozempic To Reach His Fitness Goals?

Cohen also explained why he chose to speak publicly about his Ozempic journey now.
“Given that for 20 years I have been asking people about their body regimens and that I've been pretty vocal about every time I go on a diet ... I do think it would be completely hypocritical not to share that I did this summer lose a good chunk of weight by micro-dosing a GLP-1 all summer,” he said.
Continuing, Cohen praised the "revolutionary drug" for helping transform his body.
“I feel so strongly that I can't be the one asking all the personal questions of, specifically, the Housewives. ‘How did you do it? What did you do to your face? How did you do the weight loss?’ And then be the guy who's suddenly lost 25 lbs. but isn't mentioning it," he said.

Some public figures, however, have had a different experience.
According to PEOPLE, Tracy Morgan made waves when he debuted his slimmed-down physique in August 2023, revealing he'd turned to Ozempic for weight loss.
Nearly a year later, though, Morgan admitted to Jimmy Fallon that he'd actually gained 40 pounds back after learning to "out-eat" the medication.
"I’m like Magic Johnson. I gained 40 pounds," he joked.
