Kandi Burruss Addresses Coparenting With Todd Tucker After Shocking Claims In Recent Court Filing

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum Kandi Burruss recently opened up about coparenting with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Todd Tucker.

Speaking with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones on a recent episode of "Today with Jenna & Sheinelle," the reality star and Grammy winner emphasized that making her separation from Tucker as easy as possible was her primary concern.

Prior to these remarks, Kandi Burruss made headlines after accusing Tucker of failing to pay for their shared family home or the expenses for their two minor children in a shocking court filing.

According to Burruss, she and Tucker, who married in 2014 in front of Bravo cameras, are doing what they can to make their split easier on their children. "We have determined that no matter what we’re always going to be great coparents for our kids," she said on "Today."

"So that means that, you know, we’re going to spend holidays together sometimes because we’re still a family, even though he and I have decided to go our separate ways," she added. "And we're trying to make it as easy as possible for our children."

Indeed, Burruss sparked conversation weeks ago when she announced that she and Tucker would be spending Christmas together during a recent broadcast. "Even though we have all this mess going on right now, we still gonna do it together for our kids," she said. "So, we are spending Christmas in New York."

In a subsequent post, Tucker shared an image of himself, Burruss, and their kids, Ace and Blaze, ringing in the new year together. "Here's my first SCHEME of 2026! Create and enjoy moments w/ family. The Tuckers," he captioned the carousel of photos.

According to a report from The Blast, Burruss disclosed her plans to separate from Tucker in an interview following BravoCon 2025. In her statement, Burruss said she reached the decision after much "thought ... and prayer" before revealing her focus would be on herself and her children.

"I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family," she said.

Since filing, Tucker and Burruss have been the topic of intense speculation following their back-and-forth court filings, which have stirred many opinions. In a new filing, Burruss accused Tucker of failing to pay for their children's "significant monthly expenses," including "nanny, tuition, extracurricular activities, birthday parties, medical bills, travel, and daily needs."

In another section of the filing, Burruss claimed Tucker had not provided suitable support for their children, accusing him of traveling out of the United States for vacation multiple times. Additionally, Burruss accused Tucker of failing to pay for the mortgage on their home or their shared expenses.

Notably, Tucker filed documents of his own weeks before Burruss' recent filing, requesting primary physical custody of their children and seeking to nullify their prenuptial agreement.

Despite his claims, Burruss stated in her January 2026 filing, "Tucker does not exercise parenting time with the minor children on a significant basis despite the façade of his two-to-three-minute social media videos chronicling his 'Daddy Daycare' on his social media platforms."

Before her appearance on NBC's "Today," Burruss flaunted her flashy white jumpsuit in a gallery of photos.

In addition to her pearly white corset and pants, Burruss stepped out in a Furry God Mother Custom Fur jacket, Schutz heels, and Laruicci earrings.

"Applying PRESSURE all 2026!" she captioned the snap, which captured the attention of many, including her "RHOA" co-stars Kenya Moore, who wrote, "And it is pressure indeed," and Cynthia Bailey, who commented, "U look AMAZING."

In another recent Instagram post, Burruss showed off her new body, explaining that she was putting in a lot of effort into her fitness journey and noticing the payoff.

"In between the matinee & our evening show with my wig off & taking a good look at myself," she shared. "When I started [& Juliet], I was about 161lbs. Now I'm down to 145 in less than 2 months. No diet meds. Just a little stress… & then changed my eating, prayer, fasting, & working on me. I gotta keep this going! Gonna be the best version of myself!"
