Kiefer Sutherland was arrested earlier this week following an altercation with an Uber driver.
Reports have now revealed that the actor threatened to kill the driver if he did not let him out of the vehicle. He also allegedly laid hands on the driver, though the individual, who has not yet been identified, was not hospitalized.
In the meantime, Kiefer Sutherland has yet to address the incident, despite having posted a $50,000 bail.
Kiefer Sutherland Assaulted The Uber Driver And Threatened To Kill Him, Report Claims

New reports obtained by TMZ have shed further light on Sutherland's shocking arrest, which occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.
According to the outlet, Sutherland was having dinner with a friend late Sunday night when he called for an Uber Black to take him home. When the driver arrived, Sutherland got into the vehicle, and the trip to his home began.
However, at some point during the drive, Sutherland, for reasons unknown, decided he no longer wanted to continue the trip.
He reportedly told the driver, "Pull over, or I'll kill you," but the driver allegedly ignored the request, even after the actor asked him two more times.
Seemingly infuriated by being ignored, Sutherland is said to have threatened to kill the driver if he did not pull over.
He also allegedly assaulted the driver with his hands, although no serious injuries occurred, as the driver did not report any injuries.
Language Barrier May Have Caused The Altercation

Sutherland was arrested on suspicion of making felony criminal threats and was taken to the station by responding officers.
After a few hours in custody, he was released on bail, with the amount reported to be $50,000.
He has yet to address the incident personally or through a representative, though it is possible there was a language barrier between the actor and the Uber driver.
Sources within law enforcement who spoke with the outlet claimed that the driver required a translator to communicate and spoke either Armenian or Russian.
A translator was then called in, allowing authorities to take the driver's statement.
Regarding the case, Sutherland is scheduled to appear in court on February 2, where he will be formally charged and may enter a plea.
The Actor Has Been Arrested Multiple Times For DUI

The incident is not Sutherland's first run-in with the law, as he has previously been arrested and convicted for DUI-related offenses.
In 1993, he was convicted of reckless driving while under the influence, followed by another conviction on a misdemeanor DUI charge in 2004. For the latter, he was sentenced to five years of probation and 50 hours of community service.
Despite still being on probation, Sutherland once again drove while under the influence in 2007. The incident led to him being sentenced to 48 days in jail at the Glendale City Jail.
The actor later told British GQ that the incident made him feel stupid.
"I was so stupid for screwing up, it just gave me some time to put some things in perspective and try and use that time for something positive and figure out how to not do that again," he said at the time
Kiefer Sutherland Once Said He Is Not Ready To Quit Drinking

In a separate interview with iPaper, Sutherland acknowledged that he had a drinking problem, which he said was the cause of "every single negative thing" that has happened in his life.
However, despite taking responsibility for his drinking problems, the actor claimed he had no interest in quitting.
"Some of the best times I've had have been when out with friends, having drinks, telling stories. That's me at my happiest," he stated, per Hello! Magazine.
"But do I want to understand it all better? Yeah. And can I say that there have been times when I have felt on the verge of not having much control? Yes. That's something I wrestle with. But then I've never been late for a day's work in my life," the actor further remarked.
Kiefer Sutherland Called His Drinking A 'Balancing Act'

In his interview with iPaper, Sutherland spoke more about how he manages his drinking habit.
He noted that drinking whiskey to "enhance your evening," rather than when you are depressed, is an ideal way to avoid going off the edge.
"The more I keep a grasp on that, the more the bad stuff doesn't happen. It's a balancing act," Sutherland stated.
