Bure famously portrayed D.J. Tanner, the oldest daughter of Saget’s Danny Tanner, on "Full House" from 1987 to 1995. What began as a scripted father-daughter relationship quickly grew into a genuine lifelong bond. That connection carried over decades later when the duo reunited for "Fuller House," which streamed on Netflix from 2016 to 2020.

“I miss you. Not just today, but every day,” Candace Cameron Bure wrote in the caption, tagging Bob Saget and adding heart emojis, a simple message that resonated loudly with fans and former castmates alike. Kelly Rizzo commented on the post, writing that Saget “sure loved” Bure, while others praised the rare throwback images and shared how much Saget’s legacy still resonates.

Remembering Bob Saget’s Sudden Passing

Saget was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando four years ago while on a nationwide stand-up comedy tour. Authorities later ruled out foul play, determining that the comedian suffered blunt head trauma after an accidental fall. At the time of his death, Saget had just kicked off the tour and had enthusiastically shared praise for his most recent performance online only hours earlier, making the loss all the more shocking for fans and loved ones.

"The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma," the Saget family said in February 2022. "They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved."

"Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities' investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us," they added. "As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter."

In the days that followed, Bure continued to honor Saget’s memory, posting another tribute on Instagram where she described the late actor as the emotional center of their "Full House" family. “Oh, Bob. Why’d you have to leave us so soon? We are all family, but you were the glue,” she wrote alongside a photo of the two. “The sticky, messy, squishy, sweet, lovable glue.”

She went on to reflect on just how deeply intertwined their lives had been for decades. “My childhood is wrapped up in you, my formative teenaged years and the rest of adulthood. We’ve always been so deeply connected since the day we met when I was 10 years old,” Bure shared. “You weren’t just like a father, but one of my closest friends in life. This hurts like nothing I’ve ever felt before.”

As Candace continues to share those memories with the world, it's clear that while Bob may be gone, he’s still the backbone of the "Full House" family.
