Jelly Roll stunned the world months ago when he revealed he had lost 200 pounds after vowing to change his lifestyle. Today, the "Liar" singer is talking about some of the benefits he's noticed since dropping another 75 pounds, including the impact on his sex drive. In a new interview, Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, also spoke about what led him to take control of his health and get his life back on track.

Speaking with Men's Health, DeFord said that losing 275 pounds over the last five years has given him a new surge of energy he hadn't felt in decades. "I feel like I'm a teenager, dog," he said, referring to his sex life with his wife, Bunnie Xo. "I have the sex drive of a 17-year-old again. I'm f-cking pouncing on my wife. We're having daytime sex again. It's f-cking awesome."

According to a previous report from The Blast, the country singer previously opened up about how weighing 500 pounds had a negative impact on his sex life, comparing sex to playing a game of Twister. "Left foot here, right foot in the X. You know, are we in there yet? Tell me if you feel something," he said, calling the experience "bad."

Jelly Roll Decided To Turn His Life Around Before His 39th Birthday

In December 2025, DeFord made headlines when he spoke with Joe Rogan about the catalyst behind his decision to lose weight. "It was right around my 39th birthday," he said, confessing that he "could feel myself dying" from the excess weight.

"It felt like I’d already cheated the game," he added. "I'd had multiple heart issues, and I was like, 'Man, I should really start trying to figure this out.'"

The "Wild One" singer then took action, making healthy changes to his diet and incorporating running into his routine. "I’m going to think about what I’m doing and be intentional," he told Rogan.

Elsewhere during his conversation with Men's Health, DeFord shared that he and Xo are noticing other benefits from his dramatic weight loss.

"I was so fat that there came a moment in life that my wife and I had to put two queen beds beside each other because we couldn't fit in a king bed anymore, I was just all over," he said, admitting that he was shocked he had reached such a low point in his life.

He explained that his weight had a negative impact on every area of his life, calling it "as disgusting" as one might think. "I was struggling to wipe my [butt]. You know what I mean? Like, I'm ashamed of it," he added.

DeFord has never been shy about discussing his struggles with his weight. In a 2018 Instagram post, the singer recalled learning that he weighed over 500 pounds, calling it "one of the most embarrassing" moments of his life.

In his post, the country singer expressed his desire to live a full life. "I wanna sky dive, bungee jump, ride a bull, parasail, ride roller coasters, I want to LIVE a normal life and have a normal relationship with food," he wrote.

"I'm on the cover of Men's f-cking health," he said in the interview, which has clearly motivated some of his fans to take charge of their lives just like the "Beautifully Broken" artist.

"Seeing Jelly Roll do this inspired me," someone wrote. "I started 2025 at 375 pounds, and this morning, I weighed myself at 279."
