Not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas; especially when it marks the start of a beautiful, new era.
"Teen Mom" alum Jenelle Evans is stepping into her post-divorce glow-up, sharing more details about her decision to undergo a mommy makeover as part of a fresh chapter in her life that's focused on confidence, healing, and self-reinvention. The Las Vegas resident shares how the experience has been both a physical and emotional reset, symbolizing a move away from the past and into a future centered on feeling strong, empowered, and fully herself.
Evans had some time while recovering from her recent mommy makeover to chat with The Blast about what procedures she chose to get done, why the timing was just right, and what the process was like for her - from deciding to have a mommy makeover to where she's currently at in her recovery.
The Timing Was Perfect For Jenelle Evans To Step Into Her Post-Divorce Era With A Mommy Makeover

After three pregnancies and losing more than 15 pounds with the help of diet and exercise, Evans realized that the results she wanted weren't going to come from lifestyle changes alone. And after going through divorce and starting a new chapter, the reality star felt like the time was right to get a mommy makeover.
"I thought it was the best time because it is winter and then I'll have time to heal and look good when the season hits again in the summer. I also thought it would be the best time because I got my tubes tied and I'm not having any more kids," Evans told The Blast exclusively.
"And I already had to get my breasts redone because I had saline and saline only lasts for 10 years, so I had to get them replaced anyway. I asked Dr. Rachel Mason (of La Femme Plastic Surgery in Las Vegas, NV) if she thought I had ab separation from having three kids, and she said yes. She mentioned the tummy tuck and I was like, let's do it all at the same time."
Evans had a full mommy makeover with Dr. Mason which included a tummy tuck to repair diastasis recti and the removal and replacement of her saline breast implants with 400cc Mentor MemoryGel silicone implants for a more natural look.
"For Jenelle's procedure, we focused on a total midsection and breast restoration," Mason shared. "We removed nearly 5 pounds of excess skin and stubborn fat from her abdomen to create a smooth, contoured profile."
Sharing Some Thoughts She Had Before Her Surgery

For Evans, who just got divorced, she said not being in a relationship meant she didn't have the help she did in the past, but with her kids being a bit older now, she still had some added help while she is recovering. Planning everything out ahead of time was "the hardest part" along with the first two weeks of recovery.
When asked if she had any concerns going into the four-hour procedure, she said her thoughts were just about being a parent and doing all that needs to be done while recovering.
"I think more of just being a parent and making sure my house stays clean, and not being able to clean really had me nervous, but you know, I did a deep cleaning before I had surgery and had two friends flying in from out of town to help me out," she shared. "So I've been keeping up surprisingly."
Jenelle Evans Is Currently Just Over Three Weeks Post-Op

When Evans sat down with The Blast, she was just approaching the three-week post op mark. She said the first two weeks after surgery were "rough."
"It's hard to get out of bed because your abs are stitched back together, and you use your abs for everything," she said. "So really, you're on bed rest, your stomach feels super tight, and you're doing the hunch walk for about two weeks."
When asked if there were any surprises throughout her journey to a new body, she explained what it was like for her from the time she woke up from surgery.
"When you wake up from surgery, you're like, wow, I'm a new person. But then at the same time, you're really swollen and you don't realize how much smaller you're going to be from surgery," she said. "My waist is getting smaller and smaller every week."
Advice For Anyone Considering A Mommy Makeover

For anyone considering having a mommy makeover done, Evans shared some advice.
"I would say make sure you're done having kids, because if you get the surgery and have kids, you're reversing everything you've done," she told The Blast. "And I also think it's important to maybe wait until your children are six years old or older, so they are not toddlers because you can't lift up more than five pounds for the first three or four weeks."
She also shared a little added motivation for anyone who might be a little scared to jump in both feet with a mommy makeover.
"I would say don't be afraid to do it. I don't regret my decision," she continued. "And you're not alone. Everyone has the mom pouch, the extra skin, and there is something that can be done about it."

Earlier this year, Evans celebrated her new era post-divorce with a special event at Spearmint Rhino New York. She called her divorce her "reset button" and decided to start the new chapter and a new mindset with a party that included entertainers, celebrity guests, a saying goodbye to her old life in a fun and exciting way.
Before her big divorce party, she told The Blast, "This matters a lot to me because I'm really closing a chapter to my previous life, I guess you can say and opening a new one."
"The old one was a bunch of fear, chaos, anxiety, and now it's more peace, safety, and I'm really trying to create that environment for my kids, so it's everyone just not walking on eggshells," she continued.
Her new chapter is filled with healing and enjoying her time alone as a single woman.
"I think it’s very important right now to reflect on what I went through in the past,” she said. “I was married for nine years which is crazy looking back thinking about it because it went super quick and I think focusing on me and my kids and just our mental health overall.”
