Paltrow is receiving some backlash following a Vanity Fair interview with fellow Hollywood veteran Ethan Hawke, in which a question she asked him was considered to be "patronizing" by many online.

It was more of a reunion for the pair 27 years after they starred in the 1998 film "Great Expectations," but the GOOP founder couldn't help but pick on him for one of his old-time routines.

"Do you still eat Taco Bell?" Paltrow asked Hawke in what appeared to be a condescending manner.

"That's really funny," Hawke replied to her. "My idea, when Gwyneth and I met, of a special night - we're going to Taco Bell."

The "Training Day" actor then added that when he finished writing his first novel, "The Hottest State," he also celebrated by getting Taco Bell.

"It's a sickness," Paltrow said as she stared blankly into the camera. "I think it's remarkable how we haven't changed... and I'm proud of that," Hawke noted in response.

Fans Call Out The Actress For Her 'Taco' Question

Within hours of the interview's release, clips began circulating on X and TikTok, with users slamming Paltrow's questioning of Hawke's preference in such a manner.

"She's so patronising, and that remark was meant to be such a low dig. But he just turned it around with grace. When's the last time u had Taco Bell? Be honest," someone wrote on X.

Another user said, "I don't care if I was a quadrillionaire, I'm still eating Taco Bell. With a large Baja blast."

"She's awful in every way. Not smart. Not funny. Not attractive. Not talented. Not a hard worker," an X user commented.

Another critic accused the actress of not being genuine, writing, "Listen to her smug laugh! It's just not real or authentic!"

"It wasn't a dig. She has years of history with him, and part of that was his eating at Taco Bell after a special event. She acknowledged knowing that," a user said.

It comes after Coldplay's infamous kiss cam star, Kristin Cabot, slammed her as a "hypocrite" because of her role in making her situation worse.

During a Coldplay concert months ago, the former Astronomer HR executive was shown on the big screen getting cozy with the company's then-C.E.O., Andy Byron. However, they tried to evade the attention before Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin called them out for "having an affair."

Interestingly, Martin was previously married to Paltrow and is the father of her children, yet the company, Astronomer, named the actress its "temporary spokesperson" and made her do a PR video where she commented on the alleged "affair" saga.

Cabot criticized her for being a "hypocrite" by mocking her scandal, despite being the founder of Goop, a company that supposedly puts women's empowerment at the forefront.

"I was such a fan of her company, which seemed to be about uplifting women," Cabot told The Times. "And then she did this. I thought, 'How dare she, after the beating she got for all the conscious uncoupling stuff. What a hypocrite."

Cabot then added that she threw away all of Paltrow's company's goods in her possession.

The "Iron Man" actress recently weighed in on what the Christmas tradition is like in her family, revealing that her husband Brad Falchuk "hates" the festive season.

"I love Christmas; my husband is a little bit of a Grinch, so he's the opposite. But I love the decorations," she shared during a recent episode of her "Goop" podcast. "I love the Frank Sinatra Christmas album. I really get into the holiday spirit. I love decorating, and we have a traditional menu that we do every year."

Commenting on her husband Falchuk's Christmas attitude, Paltrow said, "Are you kidding? Brad is the worst."

She explained, "He hates Christmas music. He hates Christmas decorations. He hates roast turkey. He hates the traditional dinner. He looks forward to it being over."

Paltrow added that it makes her feel "very alone" at home, although she noted that all her kids "love" it.

While Paltrow is married to Falchuk, she shares daughter Apple and son Moses with her ex-husband, Chris Martin.
