Nicki Minaj Gives CANDID New Details About Baby Boy, 'Papa Bear'

She may not be “Mother Monster,” but Nicki Minaj is “Mama Bear” and don’t you forget it!

The rapper who welcomed her first son, a boy, in late September last year, is giving the Barbz new insight into motherhood and details about her baby boy she’s nicknamed “Papa Bear.”

Since becoming a mother, Nicki has shared rare glimpses of her baby boy and how parenting is going for her.

I mean, from the looks of her Instagram, she makes motherhood and parenting look glamorous!

In an Instagram Live on Thursday, July 8, the “Megatron” rapper got real with fans while looking fabulous in a long pink wig, neon green outfit and her signature diamond encrusted ‘Barbie’ chain.

“He’s a people person, which I didn’t know, you know, if that was gunna happen. I didn’t know if he was gunna love people,” the new mom revealed.

Well given you’re an entertainer and have performed for millions of fans, I’m sure he gets that people person attitude from you, mama!

An absolutely adorable admission Nicki made was that her baby boy LOVES is grandma!

“He was so in love with his grandma. She’s built a really dope bond with him since he was born,” she explained. “So, now as soon as she comes downstairs or whatever, he’ll wait right there and be asking her to pick him up.”

I’m not crying, you’re crying!

She continued to explain their bond saying, “Then she’ll pick him up and he’ll caress her face and staring at her like… oh my god, ugh obsessed, obsessed.”

Given that Nicki is back to work, there comes the feeling of mom-guilt which she is all too familiar with.

Later in her Live she explained how leaving her baby to go to work or a photoshoot can take a toll on her mentally.

“To the women that have to get up and go to work everyday and leave the baby, or put the baby in daycare, god bless you. I know that that’s not easy,” she said. “I can do a photoshoot for two hours and when I see my baby after that I am, I feel guilty, I feel like ‘Oh my god,’ and he’s like, he can’t say it, but he’s pushing his little body up to hold him. It’s just so cute.”

Right now, fans only know her son’s name as ‘Papa Bear,” because she hasn’t revealed it. However, here’s a theory… bear with us.

Maybe she’ll reveal it in her upcoming music.
