Jason Kelce knows that his soon-to-be sister-in-law, Taylor Swift, is one of the most famous celebrities in the world, but that doesn't mean he's pressing her for business advice. In fact, during a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Jason explained exactly why he steers clear of those conversations with the "Bad Blood" singer, revealing their personal relationship means much more to him than anything else.

With a 12th studio album under her belt and a record-breaking "Eras Tour" in the rearview, Swift is arguably the ultimate person to ask for business advice. However, Jason, a former Philadelphia Eagles player, says he avoids those conversations for one reason. "We've tried to keep a lot of that out of the relationship. I just enjoy her being my brother's soon-to-be wife, and aunt to my kids, and we try to leave that relationship where it should be," he said in a December 2025 interview.
That doesn't mean the father of four is downplaying her talent. He actually praised the singer for her skill on and off the stage, implying there's more that goes into being Swift than people imagine. "... watching her operate, watching her savviness in getting her entire music catalogue back," he said. "... watching how she has toured the globe while also writing an entire new album, the level at which she takes control over a lot of different aspects but also allowing people to be experts in their own right, I think that a lot of that stuff is fun to watch."

Jason has forged a close relationship with Swift since she began dating his brother, Travis, in the summer of 2023. Following their engagement two years later, Jason shared that he couldn't be more excited for the couple.
Regarding his role in the special ceremony, Jason said he's still waiting to learn whether he'll have best man responsibilities. "Time will tell if there is one or anything like that," he said in a previous interview. "I've been given no details on that front."
During a September appearance on the "Bussin' with the Boys" podcast, Jason admitted that he was hopeful he'd be chosen to stand by Travis' side on his special day. "Hopefully, I'm the best man. We'll see," he said. "Trav has a lot of friends, I'm just hoping to get the opportunity."
Travis Opens Up About Engagement To Taylor Swift

Since sharing images of their engagement on Instagram, which, by the way, has nearly 40 million likes, fans have been clamoring for the specific details of the joyous occasion. While Travis has kept many of the private details close to his chest, he got candid in an interview with Fox Sports' Erin Andrews, admitting he was definitely nervous to pop the question. "The palms were definitely sweating," he said. "I'm an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there." He finished by sharing how excited he was to "spend the rest of my life with her."
Jason Gives Advice To His Younger Brother

While fans will have to wait much longer before getting any more intel on Travis' wedding to Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs player could have something important to share in the coming weeks. Last week, the Chiefs were eliminated from playoff contention for the first time in 10 consecutive seasons after losing to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Speculation has swirled about Travis' future in the league, as many assume the Super Bowl champion will soon announce his retirement. During last week's "Monday Night Football" stream, Jason addressed the elephant in the room, sharing he had no insider information. However, he did have some advice for his brother.
"In my opinion, to nail that decision, you've got to step away from the game for a little bit," he said. "Play these last three games, enjoy them with your teammates, enjoy that with your coaches."
He continued, "The team's going to be different whether you come back or not next year. So, enjoy these last three games and then let it sink in. It'll come to you with time."
Another NFL Legend Believes It's Travis' Time To Hang Up The Cleats
Jason isn't alone in his thinking. Fellow Super Bowl winner Rob Gronkowski shared a similar statement on FanDuel's "Up & Adams" show with Kay Adams, according to The Blast.
"My gut tells me about Travis Kelce is that he will not be back next year," he said. "He has had a significant career, Kay. He has had an excellent year once again this year."
Gronk explained that while Travis is still producing, he's not the same player he was in years past. He also pointed to quarterback Patrick Mahomes' recent ACL injury as a reason for the tight end's departure. "In the end, overall, where the Kansas City Chiefs are with Patrick Mahomes getting hurt, with everything else that's going on in Travis Kelce's life, I think this is his last year," he said.
