Kody Brown's apology tour continues to create friction.

The "Sister Wives" patriarch recently found himself in the hot seat after Christine's husband, David Woolley, stepped in with blunt, unsolicited advice about his broken connections with his kids.

Kody's fractured bond with his kids has been a point of focus lately after he was called out by his son, Leon Brown, who accused him of lying about the state of their relationship.

David Woolley Advices Kody Brown On Where His Apology Tour Should Really Begin

During a Sunday episode of "Sister Wives," Woolley directly addressed Kody after he apologized to Christine.

"Can I give you a little bit of advice? Just a little bit. Start with your kids," David told Kody, urging him to focus on the children still grappling with emotional pain.

David went on to explain that the plural family dynamic no longer weighs heavily on the ex-wives, as they have moved on with their lives. According to him, the real healing is still needed elsewhere.

"Your kids still need to heal, and that's the part that you need [to work on]," David told Kody, per US Magazine.

However, David's words did not land well. Clearly defensive, Kody rejected the advice outright, insisting that his apology at that moment was directed solely at Christine and not intended for anyone else.

The patriarch, who claimed he didn't care what others thought of his apology to his ex-wives, later added, "There's an effort I'm already making and reaching out," referring to his fractured relationships with his children.

Doubling down, Kody dismissed David's input entirely.

"Any of his experience with his children and any of his advice for me is something that I'm just not interested in at this point, because it's like he's kind of just on the opposite side of this," Kody said.

Without holding back, he went further, telling David directly, "Those deteriorations happened as a party, not as an individual. Do you understand that?"

David, however, stood his ground. He explained that being around Kody's children had given him insight into just how deeply they are hurting.

Kody was not receptive. He pushed back again, suggesting David could not fully understand the situation because he did not grasp the realities of polygamy. David countered that argument by saying he knew "a lot" about polygamy because his siblings had lived it.

As the tension escalated, Kody defended himself once more, stating that his bad experience with his children wasn't intentional.

He maintained that he was open to conversations and ready to resolve things with them, as he urged Christine and David not to interfere with his relationship with his kids.

How David Woolley Became Part Of Kody's Apology Tour

David's involvement was not accidental. Fans may recall that in an earlier episode, Kody invited him to the meeting in Las Vegas, where he planned to apologize to Christine, as a sign of "respect."

While at it, Kody told Christine, who was the first to leave the plural marriage, "I wanted to apologize with all my heart for how we broke up, for how it all went down."

While she accepted the apology, she made it clear that she considered the chapter closed, as reported by The Blast. Woolley, who was present, felt uncomfortable when Kody apologized for saying he "didn't love" Christine or his other ex-wives.

David was not the only one unsettled by Kody's approach. Christine herself challenged him when he reflected on how much he "used to love" her during their marriage.

"Why do you think this is appropriate? Your wife should be here if you're going to [say] things like that to me," she fired back, as The Blast reported. "Where's your wife? Don't say things like that to me."

Kody appeared unfazed and continued his poetic reflections, calling their marriage "a life experience" that was "beautiful like a storm and a sunset," despite Christine's clear discomfort.

It is no surprise that the topic of Kody's parenting is a sore spot, given his recent debacle with one of his children, Leon Brown.

Leon, whom Kody shares with ex-wife Meri, reacted after Kody claimed in a confessional that he had reached out to his children "multiple times," adding, "And if they don't have a relationship with me, it's because they're not reciprocating."

As The Blast reported, Leon was then prompted to break their social media hiatus to call out their father.

"Let me be so f-cking clear: I have not heard from that man since my brother killed himself. Kody blatantly blew me off at Garrison's funeral. He is a liar. He is a joke of a father. That's all," Leon firmly stated.
