The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has decided to double down on his criticism of the late actor, Rob Reiner.
He had initially made harsh remarks about Reiner, claiming his death was caused by "Trump Derangement Syndrome," a comment that drew severe backlash.
However, despite the scrutiny of his actions, Donald Trump has taken things a step further, blasting Rob Reiner as a "deranged person" who was behind the "Russia hoax."
Donald Trump Rips Into Rob Reiner Again After His Death
Trump continues to back his decision to mock Reiner's death following news of his and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner's murders.
After earlier accusing the actor of "TDS," the president doubled down by making harsher remarks about the beloved actor.
While speaking with reporters in the Oval Office, the president stressed that he was not a "fan of Rob Reiner at all."
"He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned," Trump stated, while referring to himself in the third person. "He said, he liked, he knew it was false. In fact, it's the exact opposite, that I was a friend of Russia, controlled by Russia. You know, it was the Russia hoax. He was one of the people behind it."
He then claimed that Reiner harmed himself "career-wise" and had become like a "deranged person."
"So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all, in any way, shape, or form. I thought he was very bad for our country," Trump concluded.
The President Earlier Claimed That The Actor Drove People Around Him 'Crazy'

Prior to his latest remarks, Trump claimed that Reiner drove other people around him "crazy" due to his criticism of the president and his administration.
He said on his Truth Social platform that the actor died "due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS."
The president further claimed that Reiner was obsessed with him, and this affected the individuals close to the actor.
"He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before," Trump wrote, adding, "May Rob and Michele rest in peace!"
Whoopi Goldberg Blasts Donald Trump For His Comments About Rob Reiner

Over on "The View," popular actress Whoopi Goldberg called out Trump's remarks about the late Reiner, asking the president if he had "no shame at all" and bringing up his strong reaction to the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
"I don't understand the man in that White House. Because he talks so much about Charlie Kirk and caring, and suddenly this is what he puts out," she said. "Have you no shame? No shame at all? Can you get any lower? I don't think so."
Goldberg also took the opportunity to bring up recent tragedies that happened before Reiner's murder: the Bondi Beach shooting and the Brown University shootings.
"Through Rob, to what's happened at Bondi Beach, to what's happened at Brown, and you don't find the time to say as Americans, 'We hate what's happening?' You ain't my president, man," the actress declared.
The Slain Actor Was Very Critical Of Donald Trump

Trump's grievances with Reiner stem from the late actor's criticisms of his actions. Very recently, Reiner spoke out against the president due to the suspension of comedian Jimmy Kimmel.
During an interview with CNN's Brianna Keilar, the celebrated director noted that he was shocked by what happened to Kimmel, warning it was an attack on free speech.
He told Keilar: "This may be the last time you ever see me because ... there's only a couple of us that are speaking out in this hard way."
Reiner also described Trump's actions as a "war on democracy."
