Kody Brown’s apology tour isn't going smoothly!
The patriarch's attempt to mend broken relationships with his ex-wives seems to have spiralled into conflict with Christine Brown as her new husband, David Woolley, became involved.
The apology followed Kody’s admission that he had spent time reflecting and felt ready to set things right.
Kody Brown Talks Apology Dynamics With Ex-wife Christine Brown

As Kody embarked on what he described as the second stop of his apology tour on “Sister Wives,” he openly admitted that his relationship with Christine was far more strained than his relationship with Janelle.
In Sunday's episode of the TLC series, following a successful visit with Janelle, Kody explained how easy it was to apologize to her.
He shared that he hoped for the “same kind of tenderness and grace” from Christine but admitted he was “prepared for a very different experience.” He emphasized that he expected the worst.
Kody later explained that Christine being the first of his three ex-wives to leave him in 2021 complicated their current dynamic.
He acknowledged, “I am walking into an environment where trust has been killed. I mean, we don’t have trust.” He also reflected on how poorly he handled conversations surrounding her decision to leave.

Despite expressing concerns about how difficult apologizing to Christine might be, Kody ultimately chose to put those fears aside and attempt to bury the past.
According to US Magazine, Kody met Christine in Las Vegas and made a point of inviting her husband, David Woolley, as a sign of “respect.”
“I wanted to apologize with all my heart for how we broke up, for how it all went down,” Kody said to his ex-wife. He also apologized for the struggles Christine endured. While she accepted his apology, she suggested that everything now belonged in the past.
Kody added that the “huge” issue he wanted to address was saying he “didn’t love” Christine or his other ex-wives. “I was angry, and that wasn’t cool,” he confessed.
Christine quickly shut down the moment, responding, “That’s a weird thing to say. I have a husband right here now, you know, to [say], ‘I used to love you.’”
While the meeting initially appeared calm, things escalated in a preview for the next episode. Woolley was shown taking Christine’s side, clearly uncomfortable with the apology dynamic.
“You know damn well you loved her because you wouldn’t [have] got married, you wouldn’t have all these kids, if you didn’t love her,” David fired back at Kody. He sharply suggested that Kody focus his apologies on his children rather than his ex-wives.
Why Kody Brown Wanted To Apologize To His Ex-Wives

Kody revealed that his apology tour stemmed from lingering tension following the sale of the family’s joint Coyote Pass property. The experience forced him to confront the emotional distance that had developed within the family.
“After that whole experience, it was still just weird at Coyote Pass,” Kody told Robyn in a November episode, referencing the uncomfortable atmosphere during the property sale. At the time, none of the ex-wives spoke to Kody or Robyn while signing the papers.
As reported by The Blast, Kody explained his intention to face each ex-wife directly and bring closure to the ongoing conflict.
“What I need to own about the breakups, about how things happened with the family… I want to set them free, just get them to stop thinking, talking, being about me,” he explained.
Robyn Brown Reacts To The Potential Aftermath of the Apology Tour

While Kody remained determined to ease tensions, Robyn struggled with the emotional weight of what reconciliation could mean. The thought of the ex-wives returning to the family deeply unsettled her.
According to The Blast, when asked how she would react if the ex-wives ever came back, Robyn became emotional. She admitted she would not be able to handle it.
“I can’t. I can’t. I got to move away from that because I’ll fall apart, and I can’t be on this set,” she said.
Robyn added that although she once dreamed of a united family, she could no longer allow herself to imagine that possibility.
Christine Opens Up About Wanting An Amicable Relationship Between Kody And Woolley

Although current tensions suggest otherwise, Christine previously expressed hope for a more amicable relationship between Kody and David.
As The Blast reported, back in June, Christine shared that it would be nice if the two men could eventually become friends. Kody even expressed interest in a potential guy trip, an idea that resonated with the newly married couple.
David, however, noted that such a trip would require specific “rules” between himself and Kody.
Christine also revealed she would eventually be open to a double date with Kody and Robyn, though she admitted she was not ready yet. She acknowledged feeling nervous about such interactions and emphasized her need for reassurance.
