"Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star Miranda McWhorter is in deep trouble with the court, as the reality star was recently sued over unpaid credit card debt.
The Idaho native, who joined the Hulu series during its second season, reportedly ignored communication from her credit lender, failing to pay more than $12,000 owed.
After attempts to recoup the owed fees, the "Mormon Wives" star's bank filed an official lawsuit demanding repayment.

According to a new report from Us Weekly, a default judgment of $12,849 was filed against McWhorter in August 2025. At the time, Discover Bank requested the owed fees and interest.
The judgment stems from an earlier lawsuit the bank filed against the mother of two in September 2024, claiming the reality star had failed to make payments on her $12,409.27 bill.
Lawyers for Discover Bank claim they contacted McWhorter repeatedly; however, no payment was ever made on the account.

In a statement, Discover claimed, "As a result of services provided at [McWhorter's] request, [Discover] established an account with [McWhorter]. [McWhorter] defaulted on the account by failing to make payments as they became due."
The company also released a copy of the reality star's credit card bill, revealing that she opened the account in 2018.
Legal documents also show that McWhorter, 27, was initially served with the court papers at her nearly 3,000-square-foot home in Jordan, Utah. Her husband reportedly called the process server to explain that they were working with a debt consolidation company to handle the bill.
Neither McWhorter nor her husband appeared in court.

While McWhorter may not have appeared in the first season of the dramatic reality series, she's been part of MomTok since the beginning. As part of Taylor Frankie Paul's core group of friends, McWhorter certainly had a story to tell, and in May 2025, she implied that she was excited about what viewers would see.
"I think that within the show and within Mormonism, the fact of the matter is that we're being forthcoming about those skeletons," she said. "They can be obviously hard to talk about. Me personally, obviously it took me time to be open about all of that, but I think it shows that you can be open and honest, whether or not you're judged."

Also part of the show is McWhorter's ex-husband, Chase. While they're no longer together, Chase opened up about the struggles they faced in their relationship and where they stand today.
Speaking with Us Weekly, Chase admitted he and his reality star ex tied the knot "a little prematurely." Today, though, they're better than ever. "[I] still chat with her a lot, whenever she drops the kids off, and vice versa. … I think it's working out really well, and we're kind of figuring out how to continue navigating that in a positive way," he said.
Regarding his role on the show, Chase made quite the splash during the season 2 premiere, sparking drama between the rest of the cast and their husbands. He also carried that drama with him off-screen, resulting in legal troubles of his own.

Recently, reports surfaced claiming Chase had been arrested and charged with three misdemeanors in July 2025. The father of two was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, and driving on a revoked license.
Law enforcement officers stated that they pulled Chase over after noticing that he was "unable to maintain his speed and drifted outside of the travel lane several times, almost hitting a curb." Later, police officers reportedly "detected the odor of alcohol and observed he had bloodshot, glassy eyes, and slurred speech."
In a December 2025 statement, Chase got real with his followers, admitting the reports were accurate. "I was pulled over for driving under the influence, had ingested substances that I shouldn't have, and got behind the wheel of a car," he said.
He added, "Extremely shortsighted, selfish, and dangerous decision. And shout-out to the cop for helping people stay safe on the road, because it could have ended much worse than it did."
Chase concluded, acknowledging his wrongs and expressing regret over his decision. "So extremely sorry about all of it and disappointed damn near everybody around me because of that choice, and I'm dealing with those consequences as well as, you know, anything that happens legally beyond that," he said.
